is the Qmax sealed or ported? if it isn't you will not notice it incredibly but ur bass might not sound as loud and thumpy as it should be with those specs. it also depends on what type of music you listen to, ported will suit rnb and bassy songs i suggest building your own, its good fun and you will probably be paying half of what that Qmax box costs but it depends if you can be bothered or not.

Hi all, I have a little problem with my suspension i think. Just recently i've noticed when i turn my wheels and go over bumps, one of my front wheels is making a knocking noise. kind of sounds like you are entering on a metal ramp or something like that. I asked a mate and he goes it can possibly be my CV boot joint but im not to sure because its supposed to have a constant clicking noise when i turn. im running on king super lows on stock shocks, been probably between 25 - 30k's with them so thinking it might be my shocks that are going. don't know how long this has been going on for because i constanly have my stereo on. any thoughts? my inner guard has been shaved off from me not replacing a bolt on properly and i also have my pod exposed. what i did was went down to Bursons and purchased a pod filter heat shield and it does wonders. however since you have a TRD pod filter, they are pretty big and the shield will not cover the whole filter. maybe get a smaller pod filter or shop around for a bigger heat shield. off the top of my head, my heat shield costs like $20? good luck with it

I was planning to DIY my rear skirt too, didn't think its would be that hard because it is just silver paint. i spoke to a mate who is a mobile detailer and he reckons if i DIY it was be very hard to match the paint with the car itself. probably best take it to a pro that has a baking room. will turn out nice and shmick!

Off the top of my head, the paint code for 03 model silver 199 correct me if im wrong

Hey, I got it for $260 and got it painted for $150 and fitted it myself. Check my members ride thread. I rang up the bloke today, $290 was the best he could do. Got hold of the last one in Australia apparently may be a couple of weeks before next batch comes in? Thanks Silly-Karr

so does this ultimately mean that using the stock muffler with 2.5inch catback is pointless? meaning very minimal gains?

I have called up a few toyota dealers and the prices have indeed gone up Now they are ranging from $360 - $380 which is a bit of a bummer

Just wondering, has anybody tried to position their muffler in the middle of the rear bumper (for example mini cooper and the astra SRi) i've had a look under a mini and their mufflers are basically on the sides, with a pipe going to the middle of the bumper with the exhaust tip sitting there. will there be potential power loss in doing this?

I have already done mine on the pre-facelift too, used a whole bunch of duct tape instead of silicone. still holds just as good i rekkon When cable ties & WD40 dont do the trick, there is always duct tape :)

i have the same problem aswell but only when my rear windows are down around 5 cms. gets annoying but i've learnt to live with it because i'd have to hack through sound deadning and mdf wood to get to my window. hopefully its just normal on all corollas

Velcro may be of good use under the seat. should never under estimate that stuff

I use these wipes for my dash and normal spray everywhere else. I find them better to use on the dash because the spray always seems to hit my windscreen and leaves spotty marks on the bottom. Maybe its just me

William is my friend.. my setup was done by Jimmy with William's idea. He is the greatest guy to look for, but unluckily, camberwell audiofx has closed and moved to combine in city audiofx. Low reasonable price with great work just wont help a shop last.. i think.. O no way dude, thats a bit dissapointing! yea it was Jimmy who did all my wiring, and also the other guy from the UK. Nice guys

Hey there mate, Audio FX in camberwell jumps into mind when you are looking for a reasonable price. Speak to William, the Indo guy and if u are good at negotiating you would be able to get something good. I am not sure how they are with sound deadning tho because i just pretty much got them to do my wiring and did the deadning myself. Have you ever considered doing the deadning yourself? hard job but makes you a better person

hey there mate, i was in the same position when i was young as a strapped for cash for a sound system for my old car. i found the most value for money brand would be blaupunkt, just in my opinion tho. i got a pair of splits (overdrive) however they will be called velocity now 6 inch rears sub and a 5 channel amp to run everything for about 1200. sounded awesome then went and bought an sq headunit which meant i spent around 1700 all up. i think the idea is all about matching your speakers with the right amps when you have roughly that amount of money to play with. and as for euro speakers, i am a strong believer in them. i rekkon they sound way better! but i am pretty biased tho
