Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone had any updates with the gear change problems on their new 05 Sportivos ? I too am experiencing this problem but it does not occur on every gear change. For me the most difficult gear change which dosent always sync in with ease is from 2nd to 3rd. Im not sure weather its because I am still getting use to the Toyota 'H' style 6 gear shift or if I need to release the clutch at a different friction point or what. If I happen to give the lil beast a bit of up and go I dont want to have a slow and sluggish 2nd-3rd gear change! Ive got my 1,000km service coming up so I might mention it to my Toyota dealer yet deep down I dont think this is an issue. I honestly think its the way you drive it.

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase either TRD or TTR throw over seat covers? I am just wanting to throw one over to help protect the leather seat/s only when either having the car go in for a service or even when you are dirty from washing the car. At the same tiome I have checked out trdsales.com but could not find the product. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers :D

I clean my new Stivo minimum once a week. Due to my car being parked outdoors for the majority of the day it always manages to get a few lil bird droppings, dust and of course that filthy road grime! Nothing like a good wash and quick detailer spray on wax that brings out the beauty of black metallic :D One thing I hate though....those f#cken water restrictions! LOL

Hi Guys, I have noticed that a few members have added an image banner as part of the profile signature and I was wanting to do the same yet I am unsure if there were any specific image sizes and how I actually upload and add the signature to my profile ????? I did try and do a search for any topics relating to this issue but come up with nil results. Any help or procedure would be much appreciated! :D Cheers

Hi Guys, I have noticed on my new 05 Sportivo that my rear door speakers are at a very low volume even when the volume is at a high level and also when the balance has been faded back to the rear. I just wanted to know if all Sportivo's were like this or not ????? Perhaps this is normal and this is the way the system itself has been installed and wattage of the speakers? The front door speakers and tweeters absolutely rock for what they are. But the rear ones hardly produce any volume. Any help or feedback would be great. :) Cheers

Fantastic report there SILVABULLIT. I would get my resume to the Wheels magazine editiors asap! Everything you wrote I believe is 100% spot on and as accurate as can be. I was in the exact same position as WesternToyotaTechnician as once the new 05 model came out and I then test drove it, the deal was hunted down and the papers were signed straight away! :D

Hi Guys, I am now a proud owner of a new 05 Sportivo and loving every minute of it! :P Hopefully when this Sydney rain eases up I can then take some pics of my new ride and add it to my profile. Anyway, I was just wondering if you guys ever get together in Sydney for a cruise as part of the ATOC ? I wasnt sure if there were scheduled events as such. Cheers :D

Hi Guys, Please excuse this post for sounding dumb but I am all new to this site and forum and am now a first time Toyota Corolla Sportivo owner :P I have just purchased a brand new 05 Sportivo (delivery mid week!) and am yet to discover the car's true potential. My friend owns a white 04 Sportivo and thats what made me buy myself one of these lil beasts so I have witnessed the car's incredible performance. So when does the LIFT actually kick in? Does it kick in with every gear change over a certain rpm? By reading a couple of other posts in the forums there was advice NOT to use the LIFT on a new Stivo...why is that? Why should you have to wait to bring out the car's true performance? Any feedback is much appreciated! :D Cheers

Hi Guys, I have just purchased a new 05 Sportivo (yet delivery isnt until mid week) and I have already been shown the Owner's Manual for the car yet it wasn't an owner's manual based solely on the Sportivo model. The owner's manual is based on the whole Corolla range. I just wanted to make sure this is infact correct as this is the info my dealer has advised me. Perhaps the guys with Sportivo's can help clarify this one for me! :) Cheers

I might have to check out Castle Hill Toyota then as the dealers I have seen in Sydney have only had the Sterling Silver colour. I would love to see the Ink Black colour on a new Sportivo since its the colour I want to get :P Looking forward to seeing more pics Eggbert :D PS - I cant wait for Toyota Australia to release it's new 05 Sportivo brochure and update their website!

Sorry to disappoint guys but I quite like the Sportivo badge @ the rear of the 05 model ! Gives the car yet another unique look from the pre-facelift model as well making it stand out more with the badge being red in colour :P

From what I understand the new 05 post face lift Sportivo is better than ever before. I was advised by a Toyota sales rep that all issues were rectified giving the new model a 5 star status possibly even performing better than the pre-face lift Sportivo. I managed to test drive the new Sportivo and I must say I fell in love with it straight away.....the bigger brake callipers make the Sportivo stop at a halt and look just as good against the 16 inch wheels. As for pricing, I received 28990 plus ORC so i guess if you can grab it for under 30K you have got yourself a great deal. :)
