  1. Hello Heatwave. First things first, Enkei rims are manufactured in Japan to highest standards & are probably one of the best "CAST" rims you can buy They are incredibly strong & light weight. They are the used by formuala 1 teams & come standard issue on EVO's. The quality of these rims will be reflected in the price. Advanti are an Autralian made rim. I owned a set of Shadow Chrome Stalkers for 3 years & found them to be very good wheel, although they are heavy. I don't know anything about Osaka rims but AUSCAR is made in China for Bob Janes Budget line. Tempe Tye rims are a Chinese knock offs. For everyday use there is nothing wrong with there rims except for there Chrome range. Everyone who I know who has purchased Chrome wheels through Tempe Tyres has had issues, such as Chrome flaking off or rim cracking. I would only suggest Tempe Tyres if you are on a tight budget. Another thing I found with Tempe Tyres is that there service sucks. Just remember that like most things you get what you pay for & when it comes to wheels & tyres I suggest a no compromise attitude, meaning buy the best quality you can afford.
  2. Pulling away from a GTR, yeah right. let us know how you go when you race your "mates" Ferrari :P
  3. this is the result Please explain how you did this, it looks mad. :D
  4. I'm sure you will find what you are looking plus much more in the link below. :) http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=5503
  5. If you had black rims & a CF bonnet I reckon it would look good. :)
  6. haha no mate that would be from your very good mates at ignition-x.. Ripoff indeed :) My Mistake. It has been sometime since I was interested in this type of item. $1700 is probably close to the mark for the CF bonnet. I had a look at the C-One JP site & using today's exhange rate the item is worth approx $1200 AUD. If you add freight on top of this then the price of $1700 is not that bad. Having said that I have seen the CF C-One Bonnet up close & the in my opinion the product is first class, excellent finish & very light weight, if I could afford it I would get on without hesitation. Once again I aopligise for the incorrect information. :D Out of interest, have you got any quotes on doing the job?
  7. Next time you getted pulled over by the cops for speeding just say to the copper "I'm sorry officer but I momentarily took my eyes of my speedo to concentrate on the road, it won't happen again" :P
  8. Great meet tonight guys, good to see so many new faces. We are really starting to get some good numbers. :D
  9. Extremely doubtful, ive priced a fair few scoops, universal ones both from ssv.com.au and carmate and ill be looking at $100- $200 for the scoop.. NO idea how much itll be to paint and fit, give or take $300 id say.. Compare this with the $1753 'someone' wants for the c-one bonnet, and i think ill come out with a bit of cash left in the pocket. :P $1753 is a rip off, I bet you got this quote for Carmate. Everyone in Sydney knows to stay away from this place. Theere is member of the Sydney crew who has a carbon bonnet that he got for $600 & I have been quoted previously $1000 for the C-One Bonnet. On top of purchasing & painting you still have the cost of fitment which will involve cutting a hole in your bonnet which will not be cheap. Anyway, good luck with your bonnet scoop.
  10. I suggest just sticking with a Bucket & Water. High pressure water can actually damage your paint & really aren't very effective are removing small particles of dirt. They are great for off road vehicles that get caked in mud. I would also recommend a Meguairs Lambs Wool cleaning mit instead of a sponge. If you really want to look after the paint work I would have one mit for the top half of the car & another for the bootom half of the car & perhaps a sponge just for the wheels. For anyone that wants to connect a high pressure cleaner to a tank of water you will need to purchase a small pump to connect between the tank & the cleaner to create enough pressure for the cleaner to work properly. If you don't do this the Cleaner will cavitate & over heat as there won't be enough water going into it.
  11. Same thing happened to me earlier this year. Just finished putting together my new electric road car. Latest Lightweight chassis, race ready, every hot up part I could buy. Handed Control to my brother. 5 seconds later whole front smashed in. Hit the only metal pole in a 100 Sq mt area at about 80km/h. Almost brought a tear to my eye. lesson 1 - never let anyone including relatives drive your R/C car For anyone that is interested the link below will take you to the HPI website. These are the guys who make the Stage D drift R/C cars. I've seen them in the shops ready to go out of the box for around $600 if I remember rightly. Awesome toy. http://www.hpiracing.com/index2.htm
  12. mines an 04 and i pulled 4th highest :P over 110kw I agree with what u say about 03 models. My wife's 03 easliy goes up a hill near my house in 6th gear where in my 04 it's better to change down a gear. Although mine feels like it accelerates harder from standstill. mines an 04 and i pulled 4th highest :P over 110kw
  13. Ignition-X have C-one eyelids for the facelift rolla listed on their website http://www.ignition-x.com/ $179.95 Expensive, but good quality.
  14. Where did u get your current signature
  15. I like your thinking! When you say 4WD twin turbo V8 I immediately think Audi RS4. Such a great all rounder. Pricey yes but having a car that can take you to work in comfort during the week, take grandma to church on a sunday as well as blowing off just about any type of Aussie or Jap performance car the night before....now thats special! Perhaps toyota should plan a drivetrain like this for the Aurion or even the IS250. Either way, sounds like its an exciting time for hot hatch buyers! In the States they have a AWD IS350 & I have heard rumor that there might be an AWD IS430, watchout BMW
  16. Looks genuine to me. I wouldn't buy it though as it is designed for a Saab. remus makes mufflers to suit specific vehicles so you need to buy the model suited to your car. Check the link below: http://www.remus.at/product.php?option=1&s...electDtlID=2631
  17. I agree with Grey-Rolla, invites are cool every now & then It would be good to get some Celica's & Echo's down there. I've seen at least one Turbo Celica & Echo in my area. Need those Stickers to promote the club.
