  1. never got into rc drifting. its just too slow with constant wheelspin from drift tires or taped tires. when I drift its because of insane corner entry speed or the power of brushless
  2. Thanks for the tips. also found this which may be of some use: http://www.corollatsport.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=535
  3. AscentSport I too have a facelifted corolla. What mods were required to make inner light work? surely its not as simple as putting the bulbs?
  4. Just wanted to know what the speaker sizes were in the corolla. the speakers in mine are starting to crap out after a bit too much greenday, marley, ect speaker reccomendations would also be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
  5. 57 bux for narva plus 50s is about right if they are the H7 globes. I waited till repco had a 20% off store wide sale when I got mine. wish the rolla took H4 globes as they are so much cheaper
  6. I see anywhere from 490km to 525km before the fuel light comes on. This in a manual 1zz. Fuel economy does not seem to differ according to fuel, be it 91, 95 or 98. This might have something to do with me driving only in the city with maybe one trip a month on the freeway. The rolla does start better on 95 and up.
  7. melville toyota. was about 200ish from memory. u can save cash by telling not to use the oil flush, and injector cleaner crap that they like to use. tell them to just do a book service and that u will rotate your own tires
  8. although not a sportivo, mine was delivered to me with 41 psi in all 5 tires I have since dropped it to 36psi front and rear
  9. I currently use Narva plus 50 globes for low beam. Its a normal H7 halogen globe rated a 55w but it has 50 % more winds in the filement so its heaps brighter then stock without the extra heat from higher wattage globes. For high beam Narva only do a plus 30 in HB3.
  10. any further updates Northy? customs can't be that slow or can it...
  11. I bought a december 04 ascent sport hatch with metalic paint and air for 23 300 drive away
  12. I use melville as well. I am about to go in for 20 000k service. you will be able to save about 50 60 bux bye letting them know you don't want the following done: Fuel injector cleaner engine flush friction proof treatment rotate 4 tires I reckon I can buy both fuel injector cleaner and engine flush cheaper then what toyota melville charges and friction proof treatment is a load of ****. rotating 4 tires is 30 minutes worth of work with a jack tops
  13. Northy check you bank account again. I deposited money in your account on tuesday at about 3pm perth time
  14. fighting on the internet is childish so if you going to do it, then do it in a childish manner..... "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A POKEMON BATTLE!!!!" :P Any way back on topic, Vitagen good to hear the stivo is back in action
  15. no. not me. I was going the other way down ranford in a silver ascent with the lights on.
  16. sorry to hear about your car I am pretty sure I saw your car last sunday (20th) on ranford road at at about 3.30ish
  17. I have experienced the same problem with my stock head unit as well a couple times. Each time I have had to wait for a few minutes before trying to eject the disc again.
  18. For those of us with RC cars you can drift with Electrical tape wrapped around the tires for less grip. PVC pipe rings work good too. out of interest, does anyone else race rc cars at a club level?
  19. Theres a castrol sticker on my windscreen. The dealer near me uses magnatec so thats what I use for each 5k oil change in between the dealer servicing. I tried castrol R 5w 30w and noticed the car does rev harder but was also noisier at idle till the car warmed up
  20. ok thanks. I had another go and its stuck good. On the bright side its going to be tough to steal
  21. does anyone have a pic of the antenna screwed out? either i am trying to unscrew the wrong part of the antenna or mine has been threadlocked/glued/welded in
  22. I have added part numbers to to mods I have done in my garage. perhaps the other members could do the same :)
  23. The energy XM1's are far from a "performance" tyre. You would be suprised at what difference there is in grip levels changing to something like a Pilot Preceda, but a change like that will highlight the massive difference in tyre cost between the "comfort" tyre and the "performance" tyre. ← My observations of wheel spin occur for me when powering out of corners. I can avoid the wheel spin by being more gentle on the accelarator The energy xm1 maybe a comfort tire but it has a performance tire price. A while back I managed to run over a beer bottle. I was quoted 240 bux for a replacement tire by Ian Diffens (The Tire factory).
  24. Tis true. Every white rolla here in perth has a bayswater car rental sticker on the doors. :( Having said that I'd rather rent a corolla then some cheap korean POS
