  1. My rolla came with michelin energy 195/60/r15 88v tires. The suspension is stock at the moment. normal driving there are no traction problems be it wet or dry. with "spirited" driving you can hear the inside tire scrabble for grip in dry conditions and in the wet you get full on wheel spin. a lsd would probably help in the dry and in the wet I probably would be spining both tires instead.
  2. me thinks you have blown a fuse. the fuse box is behind the glove box
  3. I must be doing something wrong then. The most I have seen of late 590 from a tank. I have a 1zz as well. For me there seems to be no difference between unleaded, PULP and 98 in terms of better mileage. The car does seem to accelarate better and have better power overall with 98. That is better pulling power, ie being able to pull 5th gear at 50km/h for example. The air filter panel in the car has now seen 12000k's It might be time for a clean and re oil.

  5. I have one in my rolla. The head unit is made by fujitsu and it will display track titles, album name and artist name. my biggest gripe about the head unit is the fact it has to check the MP3 disc every time power is interupted. ie turn car off by key.
  6. here in WA the corollas are coming with the roadside assist. me thinks it just a promo for the now.
  7. The standard antenna not too long. well compared to the one on my rc car that is:
  8. Super Cheap Auto sells simular bulbs for 30 bux. Other drivers around you will see a blinding white light with blue tinge Behind the wheel, you don't see much. I find the white light does not show as much detail as a yellow light like the standard globes or the Narva plus 50 range of globes.
  9. sure enough the stain are just starting come back after last nights rain.
  10. Nothing meguirs gold class car wash can't remove. Holding the door handle in the open position I can see some white grease on the bit that goes into the door. The door handle is plastic so obviously its for lubrication and not for rust prevention. Typical of murphy's law, it rained while I was at work tonight. I'll have a look in the morning to see if the stains come back.
  11. I was having a good look at my car before washing waxing and I noticed a faint stain coming from the door handle. Checked the other doors and its the same. A mate of mine has noticed the same thing on his silver rolla as well and that the stains usually appear after it rains. Anyone else notice this on their corollas as well? <_< It would seem toyota went crazy town on greasing the door handle parts.
  12. just got back from melville toyota. I was quoted 340 bux to buy a set of sportivo springs for a 04 corolla ascent, which I am fine with. cost of fitting was a different story. The service manager wanted 400 to have them fitted. surely it does not cost that much to get springs fitted. At that price I might as well borrow as set of spring clamps, get a slab of beer and do it me self over a weekend with the help of mates <_<
  13. Took my rolla in for a service last week and went looking through the toyota car lot, and had a real evil idea. dunno if its possible but how about a 2.4 camry engine in a corolla <_< back on topic, I like the look of the TRD supercharger kit.
  14. Theres plenty of room to store crap and drive a hatch. I find the best way to keep my car clean is to keep as little crap in it as possible. I carry: -log books and manual in glove box -UBD in door pocket -small selection of mp3 cds in the centre armrest console -phone charger plugged in ciggie lighter -ciggie plug in ashtray cos its too small and crap to carry anything else -coins in panel on the right near drivers door -sunnies in lidded hole under HVAC controls -maccas tissues in same lidded hole (no need to buy tissues thanks maccas) -12v work light and jumper leads in the tray next to spare tire (might need it) -tarp in the back just incase of carrying messy crap -jacket on back seat incase it gets cold
  15. I have a manual 04 acsent hatch with about 6700ks on the clock. running straight unleaded I worked out my car would cover 12.87km on 1 litre. therefore 12.87 x 7.7 (book figure for fuel over 100km) = 99.099km. This is with me driving mostly suburbia with the weekly run on the freeway. I don't exactly granny drive the car either.
  16. I thought the cotton wool was supposed to look like a huge burnout. <_<
  17. yes. mine does the same. Its a manual 04 ascent sports hatch.
  18. by the look of things the ozeparts set will not fit the face lifted rolla. can anyone comfirm?
  19. nice photochop :P but prefer the convenience of 2 extra doors
  20. thanks. looked at the manual again and you are right. its a 55l tank.
  21. I have a 2004 ascent sports rolla hatch. now according to the manual the rolla has a 50litre tank. try as i might the most i have ever filled is about 40 litres. Is this just me or is the same for the rest you guys.
  22. I'm in perth too. Just joined the forum. I have a 04 ascent sports <_<
