I installed the SHIFT performance CAI on sunday, I must say there is definately an increase in power. The car pulls more effortlessly now, plus the sound is F*%N nuts. I previously had a DIY intake feed and I thought that was loud, but this is just crazy. Not sure about everyone else, but I have also noticed that my stock exhaust is a little louder than previously. I think because the car is able to breathe better. SHIFT were excellent, Sal also gave me rubber hoses to cover the A/C pipes, so the CAI doesnt rub. He really knows his stuff and is very helpful. Highly recommened them to members. Happy customer.

No point comparing DC2 and DC5, they are just better built cars with a better platform to begin with. I love my sportivo still, but if I had the choice I would of one the honda route. The aftermarket support is ridiculous for hondas...

Yep make sure you warm up the engine before you try hitting the high cams. The MIVEC, VVTLI and VTEC systems all have this safety feature built in, to prevent premature engine wear.

Love this forum and info :) :) I hope the shift kit comes with the nipple to block the vacum on the throtle body because i cant see it in the picture of the kit on their web site.

Just a quick question, how did you people with CAI block the vacum lines. Was the plug supplied, or did you improvise???

hmmm, interesting... I wonder how much they will budge on 3 quarts of Redline Super Lightweight, Motul RBF-600 brake fluid and an Apexi Filter? May be worth asking if they would consider sponsorship like CES too ;) Ill ask them about that as well on saturday. Be good if they are able to bring CES products here. Im thinking of buying a muffler but cant decide on remus or CES. I lke how the remus is just a simple bolt on, dont like to modify too much. Plus the stivo stock system seems adequate for the job. But $800ish dollars is still alot...

Im picking it up on saturday, cost me $350 for CAI and K&N pod. Bargain and peace of mind buying locally, I just said I know people from toyotaownersclub bought it for $300. Plus i got the pod for $50. Cant wait to install it, hope it isnt to hard. Or maybe ill just pay them to install it, alot quicker :P

Im getting my Shift Performance CAI this saturday and just wondering would it make a big differenece to me changing to a smaller K&N pod. This is the only way for it to fit on the facelift with the fog lights remaining, from what I was told by shift performance. Just worried the smaller pod will not be adequate.????????? Or is the difference so minimal it doesnt matter?

Worst thing in the sportivo is our so called sport seats, they dont hold you down at all. With the coilovers I can go fast on bends, but my face is planted on the window and bum is sliding all over the place. Plus the seating position feels like you are sky high, whereas when i jump into my brothers FTO feels like my bum is about to scrape on the asphalt. If we do swap our seats, wouldnt the seat be so low. Or can we get raised rails for the seats. It would ne hard to see over the dash :P :P

Yeah the eyelids are hot, however my 05 stivo is blinking ATM :P :P . My driver side was coming off, so i took it off. I went to Bunnings and they had no 3M exterior mounting tape. Where else can i get this stuff?????

Ive had the nexens for a while and they are a bang for buck tyre, way better then the stock turanzas. However cant comment on the toyo

Im just curious as to what times people with sportivos do at wakefield. Can you list your mods as well. Went to a recent circuit club day, there was a sportivo that did a 1:15.546 which is quite respectable. My friend in his yellow EG B18C7 did a best of 1:12.666, which is damn fast. thnx
