  1. Where did you get the pic by the way? JSPEC? Got any bigger pics or a reverse angle? The factory TRD bumper has the aluminium for the integrated exhaust sweeping down to meet up with the pipes coming from the muffler. The exhaust outlets sit lower that the holes in the bumper.
  2. Um, i'm gonna need more open road. Gotta check my top speed... I'll be there, should be fun(ny). Bring the Aurion Chloe...
  3. I took mine to the dealer to have the speed limiter removed. The guy behind the counter said he didn't know they were limited. Wheels magazine featured an article not long ago claiming the top speed was 249kmh... The guy in the workshop told me they took the limiter off for me. I don't know what the deal is... I have yet to test it again.
  4. I have a funny feeling that the rear bar around the exhaust & black piece in the middle will be a bit dodgey and not look legit. Hard to explain...but plasticy exhaust outlets etc. I'd definetley have to see the kit before I buy one. Yeah, the description says "REAR EXHAUST HOLDER WITH MESH". The factory TRD has a different type of integrated exhaust and definitely doesn't have mesh. Reply email from supplier as follows: "Dear Sir, Thanks for your interest in our product, we call it as Toyota Camry conversion to TRD Aurion, the fitment base on our country Camry setting, do not know how Australian Aurion fitting like, it look like the same but actual not sure, material is FRP c/w primer coated, separate purchase available, US$350 per bumper , freight not included, payment by western union or paypal, kindly consult with your workshop over there for the installation, I think fitment should be the same. Thanks Best Regards, Paul" $350 USD is $567.72 at todays rate of 61.65 cents per US dollar. Not too keen on the kit now. Sounds like a back yard job.
  5. Na mate, not me. My car is in at Toyota right now for a dodgy head unit (6 stacker - display is blurred when car is parked in the hot weather and back light doesn't always work), warped brakes, rattle under dash and centre console, asked for the speed limiter to be removed, (manual) air con doesn't really feel that cold. Also needs a wheel alignment after having the passenger side front strut bearing replaced with my last service. Aside from that, the car is great...
  6. Depending on where you are i'd consider the TRD for sale for $35,000 on Grays online... http://www.graysonline.com.au/lot.asp?LOT_ID=3052426 No warranty
  7. I "heard" eastern state police swap impound (to be crushed cars) between states and use them as unmarked police cars. Hence the odd and inconsistent stories of different unmarked or undercover police cars. These cars aren't around long enough for people to catch on to what's happening or which cars to look out for. The dodgy rice cars police use are crushed shortly after catching unsuspecting street racers. Fight the police scams people...
  8. ZR6 has got the Dual climate control that SX6 doesn't. In new cars, the price difference is about 3~5k. The ZR6 also has reversing sensors, power passenger seat (as well as driver). Most people option them up with the DVD, Sat Nav plus reverse camera, etc etc... Not bad value for the extra $4,000 or so extra you pay new. Personally i'm not that keen on leather, the push start is MEH and the Sat nav DVD plus reverse camera you can get from Auspack for under $900 last time i checked. After market parking sensors aren't too expensive either. I don't like the way sensors look plus i'm not sure i really trust them hence the after market reverse camera option... New the ZR6 isn't worth the upgrade unless you really want all that stuff, but second hand, if you shop around you should be able to get a ZR6 for the same price as most SX6's...
  9. That would have been a VicRoads enforcement officer in an unmarked car. TSS officers have much the same powers as cops with traffic and keep the truckies in line. The difference between cop cars and VicRoads car is that VicRoads uses twin magenta (redish/pinkish color) lights rather than red and blue. and rather than having alternating headlights and reverse lights they drill strobe lights into the headlights and tailights which give a brilliant bright flash like what F1 pace cars have. They carry radars and scales that can weigh trucks anywhere. Other vehicles they use are Territories, commo SV6 utes, falcon utes, seen an FG XR6 the other day and the lights are usually behind the front grill, not on the dash like cops. Yes well, the QLD police are selling their Aurions... http://www.graysonline.com.au/sale.asp?SALE_ID=70340 Need advice on how to handle cops? See below.
  10. Im going adhead with it. Got my exhaust this morning, then give it a month and ill pay for this. Sounds like a plan. I'm trying to get some info out of them too. Lets see how we go eh???
  11. Well well well, looks like they didn't sell the TRD. It's back on the market for $35,000. http://www.graysonline.com.au/lot.asp?LOT_ID=3052426 What's the go with that i wonder?
  12. Bit off topic, but what is that about???
  13. BINGO. I totally agree. I love the mat black section in the middle of the front bar where the number plate is mounted.
  14. ER... Not to rain on your parade but the Aurion Sport is actually the '2006 Toyota Aurion Sports Concept'. A quick google will reveal that this was actually the prototype for the TRD... your about 2 years too late. "Toyota likes to point out that the Aurion Sports Concept is purely an exterior styling exercise, in otherwords, its still got the same engine as the basic Aurion. Nevertheless, with 200kw, its not too bad. Toyota Australia is still keeping under wraps many of its styling and engineering plans for future models. I am however very keen on Toyota selling a TRD version of the Aurion, hopefully a Turbo or Supercharged version of the Aurion will be released within the next 12 months." Mr Beranger said. Taken from http://www.caradvice.com.au/1033/toyota-au...sports-concept/ Not to mention that everyone took the p*ss when i suggested a Kit TRD on the Thread that had the TRD mags for sale on Ebay. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=17791 Now there's another thread promoting the TRD kits... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=17990
  15. I'm aware of that n it's hardly an issue.. Camry in Asia comes in 2 standards engine... The 2.4L & 3.5L The one u saw is 2.4L but the 3.5L always come in 2 exhausts outlet gap. If we're comparin to our Aurion, we'll always compare it to the 3.5L ones. Cool, well that clears that up.
  16. Best thing to do is look on www.carsales.com.au to get an idea of what they're worth in your area. You can also check www.redbook.com.au for a price guide for your car.
  17. If they are made to fit on the singaporan camry, they should fit. Its looks exactly like the asain camry which is the same as the Aurion. When i get home hopefully should have a response from singapore, on my hotmail acct. Hopefully good news, if he sells single kits, im buying one. The only reason im sceptical is because: when i was orginally searching for a grill, i found metal billet grills for the aurion, but the companies found on alibaba website would only sell in quanties of 100 etc etc. I hope this isnt the case. If so, hopefully they will be a good sport and tell us what companies they sell to. Ive been looking at bodykit places in singapore but havent yet seen this kit. So if they are a bulk distributor, hopefully they have sold a order to someone. Anyways those interested, ill let you know what result i get. And when i asked any customizer in indo, they said the fitting is different. I also heard a story from a friend of mine, some1 in Indo actually bought the TRD kits from australia and said they didnt actually fit... Dunno what he did with the rest of it.. Anw, I just thought i mite share this with u guys and not to put our hopes too high for the worse part to come.. No 1 wants to spend their money for something they will regret or cant use... :( Well, i don't know about the total fitment but in the pics, the thing that concerns me is that the camry only has a single exhaust outlet gap in the bumper for a start. It would be easy to change the Aurion over to single exhaust but it's a change never the less.
  18. Your no wrong, the latter the better. Less cars on the road makes for better cruising. True true... with lots of traffic it makes it so hard to stay in a pack with light changes, and general traffic trying to get in between everyone etc... If you want to make it fairly early, perhaps opt for 8pm instead? also gives us time to have dinner and stuff after work/uni whatever we been up to during the day. For Sure.... What's with all the study? Haven't you learnt to drive yet??? HAHAHA Just jokes...
  19. man the houses over there are cheap & NEW so LOL i think u guys got it better >=/ Hardly...

  21. Like your taste in Cars. C63 is Sh*t hot...
  22. Yeah, the programs and price of FOXTEL are wearing me down too. But when i think of the alternatives i just end up sticking with FOXTEL. I've got the FOXTEL Platinum with the IQ box. No way is the IQ2 worth the upgrade (for $200) the pay ($15p/month) for 5 HD channels. What a joke.
