I would say your right, its proabably a kitted up corolla ascent. The sportivo's were meant to be cancelled afaik for not meeting tougher emission restrictions.

If your willing to spend little extra money i suggest the Toyo T1R's there a really good tire for street and exceptional in the wet. However they do make plenty of noise, but that doesnt really concern me. I know place to get them pretty cheap if your interested.

I remember seeing one on a trip down the south coast over the Queens Birthday Long Weekend break, but luckily for some drivers there was a Lexus driver flashing his head lights like crazy. Im sure they would be very effective too:(

Yeah i had a set of those Defi Din-Gauges however they did not fit like the ones in the picture; no fascia kit. There was a suprising large amount of space left which in my opinion looked ugly and destroyed the look of the interior. I sold those gauges and made a little profit:P Althought maybe it would have been smarter to find a fascia kit:( Has anyone mounted Defi BF gauges in their corolla??

Anyone seen any meter hoods for the corolla? I know it doesnt seem likely with the oddly designed dash. I had what the other member had; Defi Din's but i found once the din's were installed it left to much space surrounding the unit. I could have made it fit and look good but it required some hard work.

I am about to get some super cheap DEFi BF gauges; oil temp, oil pressure and water temp. Anyway im just wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to mount them? The idea of sticking them onto the dash is my last resort. Im not interested in mounting them on the A-pillar. TRD do not make a front sway bar, however C-One does(roughly looking at $400+). TRD rear sway bar should cost between $250 - $300. Install on rear sway bar shouldnt cost much at all; it will take a workshop no more than 10 - 15 mintues, alternatively you could do it yourself.

Go the +36 offset! I find my wheels with a +42 offset stick into the guards way too much, especially at the rear.

Do you brothers have the same problem? It could just be down to inexperience. You could always trying 'double clutching' into 2nd, simply by moving in one movement to neutral quickly stabbing the throttle and then shifting into 2nd. It should definately go in. It also sounds awesome!!

revmatching is an absolute must do, both in order to get better times, and no end up sideways and in the drink :P

its called christerson park. dont bother going there unless you get there early in the day (i.e. 10:00 - 11:00 am), it gets too packed.

Spotted around midday a silver 2003 sportivo with spoon sw388 or rota slipstreams wheels, on oxford street in paddington near the markets, i see that there pretty much every saturday!!

Before i had my front sway bar installed, i had just my coilovers and rear sway bar and that combination was excellent (only gotten better with the front sway bar). The rear sway bar definately stiffens the car up, however in my experiences it has lead to some slight oversteer under heavy acceleration, whilst cornering. I dont think you will regret buying it, either way if your not happy with it im sure someone on this forum will snap it up!

my car is louder without warming it up, if im in a hurry and i dont have time it does stutter slightly.
