  1. When we say things like 8/10, what are we comparing with? It's hard to make a comparison when you don't have much to compare to in the first place. Then you have to consider the upper and lower end of the scale. Is a 10/10 a high quality road-legal semi-slick, or a intermediate level high performance tire?
  2. Wicked use of the Vomitron Ray. That's a pretty cool photo.
  3. Novelty + laziness Seriously though, after using the Smart Entry, you just don't want to go back to using a normal key.
  4. Just make sure with Miley, you keep an eye which State you are in if you wanna 'Party in the USA' with her. She still classifies as jailbait in some places.
  5. Well if a piece of mesh for the front of my TRD costs $674, I would be guessing the steering wheel is going to be at least a few hundred dollars. I wouldn't be surprised if it is at least double that. I guess we'll see what fookah got his for. It's a comfortable steering wheel however. I bet nothing beats $50 though Alternatively though, you can get your current steering wheel re-trimmed for a good price and it would probably end up even more comfortable.
  6. Yes, that is correct. However, as I see this feature, by clicking the + at the bottom there, you also add one rep point to that members profile. That way, the more +'s the member gets from useful posts, the higher the reputation. Is it not correct that useful posts is what the reputation is about in the first place?
  7. Fark you and your black car Oh I envy you so much.
  8. Well... fancy that. Lucky it doesn't work then so I can't get a negative rep for the above post
  9. This one had me laughing pretty good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aYDWf5JKYo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma3CNRehvwk Not quite for the LOL factor, but a little funny:
  10. Tsk, tsk. How could you not be careful Anyways, comfortable steering wheel aren't they? Wish I took mine off my old Aurion.
  11. Tash:
  12. When you tap the line out converter into your speakers, you shouldn't really notice a difference in the sound of your existing speakers. You can if you have sharp hearing, but in general, we can say it's negligible. As for front or rear, the choice is yours. Up to you. If I was to fit one, I'd personal go for the rear since I hear less out of those speakers. It's also convenient when doing it for a sub since the rear speakers aren't far. One thing to remember as well though is that if you bias your fader towards the front or rear more, then you should put your LOC on the speakers that get more fader bias.

    Vick's Aurion

I looked at the first photo and was wondering why the heck he had the oxy torch out. Made sense after you said he was repositioning it. He is right, they did do a bit of a dodgy job. They should have utilised the existing muffler mounts by welding on a mounting piece at the top. Anyways, as for fixing the bumper, a lot of fine sanding and some careful painting should do the trick.
  14. Armin van Buuren VS. Rank 1 - This World Is Watching Me (Short version for forum use) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P7yy3miv-E ^ I love the way this video is done as well. Also, if anyone knows who the girl is in that video, that would be great. Maybe if it comes to Brisbane this year I'm not going to Perth for Godskitchen on the Friday of the Annual Meet.
  15. Are you referring to the large piece of trim that is basically the rear section of the inside of the boot? If so, part number is: 58387-06100 PLATE, REAR FLOOR FINISH
  16. You mean like this (removed with no tools): That part I removed (for Sportivo SX6 and ZR6): Front: 74611-06070-B1 COVER, ASSIST GRIP, LH : DK GRAY, TRIM1 74612-06060-B1 COVER, ASSIST GRIP, RH : DK GRAY, TRIM1 Rear: 74645-06050-B1 COVER, DOOR ASSIST GRIP, RH : DK GRAY, TRIM1 74646-06050-B1 COVER, DOOR ASSIST GRIP, LH : DK GRAY, TRIM1
  17. You have to really make sure your amp is cabable of this. I would only trust the amplifers that have the separate high-level inputs. There are amps out there that are meant to auto-detect high-level and low-level inputs all through the standard RCA inputs, but after some bad experience with them, I wouldn't trust them again. There is a fairly noticeable difference but this all depends on how good your ears are. If it's just a sub, most people wouldn't tell the difference. Once you throw other speakers into the mix though, the differences become a bit more clear. This is because with a headunit with no RCA outs, you need to go from low-level to high-level to low-level to high level again. With a headunit with RCA outs, it simply goes low-level to high level. If you're the type of person that doesn't notice much difference between 128kbps and 192kbps MP3's, then you probably won't notice any difference in the above scenario.
  18. +1 +1 on this statement. You TRD Lux there Jap would bet a wicked quick time for the vehicle it is. That extra 2 wheels of traction makes a huge difference to your launch which will yield you a good time. Myxalplyx in the States got a 13.9s @ 98.87mph in a N/A 2GR-FE RAV4. That's already faster than what a normal Aurion can do, and pretty close to a TRD Aurion. He says his is modified in terms of a muffler change and intake, but I personally have doubts that these are the reason for his sub-14 figure. He has dyno figures showing gains, but when it comes to dyno's, they aren't always correct. Especially when it is by a company called Dynojet*. * Each to their own
  19. Well... looks like sourcing one has just become a little easier. Where are you Myxalplyx? Brand New Genuine Aurion Supercharger FOR SALE!
  20. I think the general rule is only if you have experience with them somewhat and have no affiliation with them. Damn... that is a steal. I am guessing the 595EVO's will be around $300 or there abouts judging from the fact that Northy here was paying somewhere around that figure for 20 inch rubber for his SSV. Either way... anything below $400 with good performance would keep me happy. After paying $430 a corner for my Yoko S-Drive's, I really wouldn't mind saving some coin.
  21. Wasn't really that much discussion. Was a disappointment actually: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26861&view=findpost&p=390588
  22. Let me guess... Option 1 Garage? Oh wells, I guess where I may loose out on a slight drop in performance in the EVO's compared with the RPM's, I guess I'll make up for it in the extra width... and better driving
  23. A question out to those who may know more about Federal tires than I do (to save me from calling them): When you go to their website (http://www.federaltyres.com.au/ss595) the way they have listed their tires with the semi-slick at the top, you would think that it is in order with the best at the top and the 'lesser' type at the bottom. In other words, from good to better it would be something like: 595, 595EVO, 595RPM, and 595RS-R. Would this be the case? Because if so, that's a real bummer because only the 595EVO come in my tire size (245/35R19) and load/speed rating. This is what I'll be getting once these tires are all used up.
