Hehehe. They put me right out the front instead of next to the entrance with the F430 etc. Actually I was there attempting to fix the internet issues they were having. Didn't quite succeed due to some pretty bad equipment. Have to attack it again today.

Want to improve your Aurions perforomance & Fuel Economy??
DJKOR replied to Adamsy's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
This is also why you continue to run the A/C after the contents of the can have been emptied. It will allow any residue on the blades of the fan to dry off. -
Forget I said that. I had read some information incorrectly. That said though, it can still be done, but you would have to be well aware of what you're doing to get it running.

If they have your key, then yes. But that's just the same as any other car if they had your key. It would be pointless getting a key with your car if anyone could just start it like that. That said, there is a way to start it without a key, but I don't think it should be mentioned here.

Man, with so many bits added to the collection you have going in your garage, it's amazing how you keep track of the right parts. Having never worked on an engine like that, I would imagine it being quite rewarding when you put it all back together and starting it up. And yay, you can now sort that clutch out.

Well, Saab did originally start as a company that built aeroplanes. To me, personally, I just don't picture myself driving a Saab. It's like I am just being picky on the name alone.

What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Well earlier today (as in around 2:45am), I drove my car past a clean looking Aurion Sportivo with some nice wheels, the usual, etc, and managed to grab his attention. At the next set of lights he gave me a thumbs up and appreciated the TRD. I asked if he was on the forums, to which he said no, so I told him to look us up. As well, today I completed the first stage of my 'now to be' weekly car cleaning and detailing. I have set specific days to clean my car which should result in it staying as clean as I can get it. This will also remove the need for me to make further posts just to say things like I waxed my car etc. It seems that's what this thread mainly consist of. Anyways, today I performed my Sunday car car routine. This consists of a full interior and exterior clean, and a full wax to top up the already present coating. Then on Thursdays, I will just wash the car and do a quick detail of the interior just for the weekly meets. So as it stands, my car now has about 1.5 layers of wax on her (2.5 on the bonnet, roof, and boot) and she is so damn smooth, she is smoother than <statement not suitable for forum use>. Also, I've done some thinking about it. Let's just say that by the time I clean the car the second time on Sunday, I would have stripped about half a layer of wax off the car. Now if the situation was ideal (weather not being crazy, wax having the ability to layer properly, and wax not reaching point of diminishing gains), then by the time I get to the National Meet in Sydney and clean my car, I should still have a good 3 and a half layers of wax on her so she will be ready to be on show. This is providing I wax her on the Thursday before I leave. -
[QLD] All Japanese Day - SUNDAY 20 JUNE 2010

Once you mentioned it, I just had to go on Boostloosing to check out the thread. LOL at that. -
Toyota Aurion specification for the stock wheel nuts are 103Nm (76 ft.lbf). I would imagine the alloy ones you have wouldn't be that far off.

Could do with a little de-greasing in the engine bay there

Awesome. I like where this is going.

It does look good Ingres, however you need something to define it a little. Not sure what though. I reckon utilising some black or chrome may help. The way I gauge something like this is to look at it slightly cross-eyed*. Then it becomes obvious what stands out and what blends in. The area around the grill (including it) looks a little too blended in. * Yes I know I'm strange.

I'm not 100% sure on the definition of you scenario, but I have had cases with my TRD where I've pressed the start button and it had stopped the starter motor just the fraction of a second early right before the engine started. End result was just having to press the button again. Nothing I was worried about though since a system like that is prone to getting it wrong once in a while. The ticking noise is common among all Aurion's. Some just sound louder than others. It's nothing to be worried about. It's mainly a combination of the injectors and valves. If you think that idles roudy, you should hear the TRD. It idles like a mini truck. Listening closely to the supercharger turning makes you think it is loose inside.

HELL EXPLAINED BY A CHEMISTRY STUDENT The following question was given to a group of chemistry students during an exam. Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct..... ....leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'

Ah. I thought it was more in response to what I said and about that discussion a while back about having a 'standard' with respect to celebrities. Disregard that then. While we're here, since Miley gets a no from me with respect to her new look, what do you guys think of Hilary Duff's or Amanda Bynes' new look? At least these two are over 18... unlike 17 year old Miley (in which that one year difference changes my perspective on things). I approve:

Um... I'm not sure I get what you are saying. Is this along the lines of that Paris Hilton/celebrity discussion thing we had going some time back?

5W30 will be perfectly fine. The recommended oil is 10W30, so if you stick to the recommendations, the first number can go as low as you want and the second number should remain at 30.

It is possible that it could have adjusted, thinking that whatever it is seeing is what it should be. But one thing I would be concerned about is whether it has adjusted the expense of maybe affecting its power output.

Hmmmm. Just doesn't do it for me. Never really liked her in the first place anyway though.

Man... I'm getting excited. Unfortunately I have to work on the Friday but have managed to get work to give me an early finish. I should be leaving the Gold Coast around 11am-12pm. I wonder if I can make it there in 8.5 hours* so I can go out for dinner when I get there. Would be a bit of a disappointment if I can't, but unfortunately that's that way it might have to be. * Without getting booked

I'll run 7psi Can't wait to see the wheels fitted Rowan. Personally, I just can't imagine to look by looking at the wheels on their own. I reckon it would look good, but get them fitted ASAP, hehehe.

To reply to this one again; does my Aurion still still surprise me? I would have to say everyday. Even after settling into my TRD, I still get that nice feeling every time I put my foot down. Even though it has been ages since I have driven a non-TRD, I can still notice the difference. And now that some fairly cold weather has kicked in, the surprises just keep on coming. The TRD certainly loves it WAY more than the Sportivo.

Gotta pay for it yourself mate: http://revscheck.com.au/howto.html

Was good put even more faces to names tonight. Was a bit of a cold one tonight. Sorry I didn't realise you brought your mates out Jason. Here I was thinking that our good meeting spot was being sussed out for future meets for other groups. Also Anthony, damn that cold air really was great. When I planted it to accelerate onto the highway, boy was I up for a surprise. I had never felt my car drive like that before... then again, I've only had it for a month and haven't driven it in weather like this.

While cleaning my engine bay earlier, I thought I would check out the vacuum hose for the bypass valve. Wow... I'm surprised the thing actually stays attached to the supercharger side. I thought I would test how 'tight' the fitment is, and to my surprise, I could easily pull the hose off the supercharger side with little force from my little finger. It pretty much just slid off. And as well, the inside wall of the hose was coated in all the PCV oils etc which gives it even less grip. The bypass valve side was a different story. It's held on there pretty damn tight, so much so, I didn't want to try and pull harder to see if I could take it off. So it's understandable how one side could have come off, but as for the other, that would be a mystery.
