No I haven't. Been a bit lazy these days. Also have some other plans in the works. I can see one hose there that you have connected incorrectly. What you are meant to do is connect the two small vacuum lines together that originally connected to the top corner of the airbox. You then block off the branch of the T-piece later down the line that originally fed the butterfly valve for the stock intake box. Only two lines will then connect to your new intake. The large hose which is for crankcase ventilation, and a small vacuum hose that was originally connected to the upper resonator.

So did I... complete with QPS gear. Their first line up looked pretty hot, but using the facelift Aurion worked out even better.

They don't change it as much. Need to get some money from it somehow

You should venture outside of the Aurion boards. It's a big world out there :

I don't know what your friend is saying, but if you look clearly at the second picture at the lower left and right of the grill, you will see one thing I was referring to. I see this as a problem. Highlighted for your convenience: And from the first picture you can clearly see the distance between the headlight and the grill is smaller on the facelift. Here is another photo to help compare. Yes I'm well aware this is the Sportivo, but the AT-X has the same:

I turn it into a game then. See if you can accelerate enough to make it to the next set of lights before they go red Yours sounded just as beefy. There is something about these Toyota 4 bangers that sound so sweet, even on the Yaris. -
Help, Wheel spanner and Installation key don't match!
DJKOR replied to stedyedy's topic in Wheels & Tyres
Couldn't agree more with this suggestion. So much easier to spin the nuts off. -
Each to their own really. I personally love the mesh grill on my Aurion. At first it didn't look good in photos, but in person it was much different. I don't think the new facelift model has different grill fittings.. It's just the grill difference but the fittings should remain the same with the Aurion.. If u want a confirmation, ask ur dealer whether the old and new aurion has different fittings for the grill. If it's the same, ur good to put ur name up for the group buy. You tell me what you think after seeing this:

Just a little unfair in a way but when you think about it, if you were driving a Smart car over here, what is the possibility of hitting a Falcon or a Commodore? Given how many are on the roads, a large car vs a Smart car is a pretty reasonable real world scenario.

Looks good with a little bit of distance, up close it looks like it's made from recycled milk bottles. I don't really like it. My opinion though: Now that I agree on. I think it only really works with the lighter colours though. As well, the head lights are just as hot. Saw an AT-X model on the road today. Looks kinda like a mix between a Merc and a Ford when looked at front on. For the Sportivo's, I still like the look of the current model overall. The new once does have its good looks though. No worries. I thought You would have fixed that last meet I wasn't there. Either way, I'll put it in the car in the morning. -
[QLD] Skidpan motorkhana - Gympie. 7-11-09
DJKOR replied to rob323's topic in Previous/Past Club Meets & Events
Yeah, I'd be up for this. I should be back in Brisbane by that time (driving to Canberra next Wednesday for about 10 days of work). The distance to Gympie doesn't bother me. I've had to drive to and from Hervey Bay 3 times in the last week and a half so I'm used to that drive now. -
No worries mate. I was the first person to give the answer cause I pretty much live on these boards Either way, if you give the car a hard drive you would then come to agree that the bounciness is not that bad at all. What it loses out in ride softness, it makes up in performance.

LOL. Time for a Revision 3 then. Good work Ari. ToyzR should quote post the revision 3 for ease of access as well as updating the title. I'll add this This has been added into the FAQ now. Teamwork.

For me, same as you for the first one: Checking: Tyre pressure How often: Weekly on a Thursday night. Spare tire on a monthly basis. How: Kincrome digital pressure gauge Checking: Tread wear How often: Bi-Weekly How: Visual and by hand Checking: Fluid levels (engine oil, coolant, power steering, washer bottle top up) How often: Monthly How: No explanation needed. Checking: Brake pads How often: Monthly (then every second week as they wear) How: Visual inspection after taking wheel off. Checking: Air conditioner How often: Weekly How: Just making sure I run it for 15 minutes once a week. I rarely use it... even in summer. Checking: Cabin air filter How often: Monthly How: Visual inspection Checking: Drivetrain/suspension related nuts and bolts How often: Every second month How: Jack the car up and make sure things are tight.

Yes a relay solution is the ideal solution... But for Brad's specification, this is not entirely necessary. Just adding contribution due to the facts. I would still use a relay, but this idea stemed from a cost efficiency point of view... damn work budgets If Brad is only turning the switch 'ON' while the car is running so that it will hold it's power, and then this switch will be remaining ON until the car is started again (I would assume it would otherwise the idea is invalid), then a simple switch is all that is needed. Because it only gets used once the head unit is running, there is going to be no sudden current draw that can create any arcing within the switch. Because the current is already flowing through the existing circuit, the switch only has a low current going through it at the time it changes state.

Hey Jeff. I'd be thinking that they were lubricating the actual suspension bushes (like those that hold the front sway bar), rather than components of the strut itself. The type of lube that you use for that is Lithium Grease. I'd lube all of the following to start off:

No more Nebo runs for quite a while everyone would say. Those were some crazy few weeks or so. Yeah Ray... I'm saving it for this weekend as well. Not that I plan on giving it a good drive -
Welcome mate. Good choice on your purchase. What you are describing is completely normal for the Aurion. We have mentioned it before here and it's mainly to do with the Sportivo spring/shock combo together with the chassis stiffening through decent bracing that makes it a little more bumpy/bouncy. Question about the Aurion's smoothness on roads Difference between an Aurion Sportivo and a standard Aurion? I'm don't know too much about how suspension works in fine detail, but I was quite surprised at how smooth the ride on the Sportivo is given how stiff the suspension is. On my old Camry, you could "bounce" the suspension, and the ride was nowhere near as smooth as my new Sportivo, where you can barely push down on the car. That being said, I do find the ride kinda bouncy at slower speeds (some bumps are amplified a little, but in a "springy" kind of way) on my Sportivo, but it's still rather smooth nevertheless. Acording to Toyota, the AT-X has the same ground clearance as the Sportivo. The Sportivo certainly looks lower, and I think that is due to the side-skirts, front, and back bumper. When Toyota says they have the same ground clearance, I think they are referring to the underbody only. Also, does the AT-X come with Michelin Energy tires? Where ever I read about the Sportivo, they mention the Michelin tires, so it would seem like it is another difference with them. That said, even the AT-X suspension though seems to have a similar trait: Aurion Suspension

LOL WTF! I'm surprised the thing wouldn't blow up... let alone, run.

No one thought of the obvious here. Notice when you start your car, lights tend to dim and maybe even your head unit cuts out? This is because the power draw for the starter motor is quite high and your accessories usually lose their power. One way to test if you should even bother with this is to turn your key to ACC, let your stereo load, then once it is running turn your car to ON then start it. See if your radio ends up resetting and going through the entire 30 second load again. If it does, then the switch idea is pointless. If it doesn't, then go ahead with it.

I'll be there. May be a little worn from the 4am start at Hervey Bay... but I'll be there. Got some goodies for you Dave as well, as you already know. -
Rowan did attempt some videos guys. Look back on page 7:

Are you referring to the bump stops?

Spotted Harry's Sportivo driving along Oxley Road towards Indooroopilly at about 5:15pm. Wasn't being driven by him though. Must have been his missus. If it was you mate, sorry for my bad judgement :P Not Toyota related, but also spotted this Volvo 200 series driving along the Pacific Motorway. First reaction was WTF:
