Hey all, I got a quote for an AP800 aftermarket cruise control kit from a Toyota dealership. It was $920 including fitting. This seems expensive, is it? And, also, the controller (the thing with the buttons on it that goes on the steering wheel) sends its signals to the rest of the system via an infrared link to a module situated on the part of the steering wheel that doesn't move. (Near the lever that adjusts tilt and reach). Would this be reliable? And, in fact, how reliable is a system like this?

2007 Corolla Headunit Removing Instructions

Ok, I just installed my AVX-810. Works great, and looks great apart from one thing. There's about a cm either side of the headunit. Anyone have any idea on how I might cover these holes? About a minute after I posted that ^, I went across to eBay, and bought myself this : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...:B:EOIBSA:AU:11 Should be the right connection. Can't wait to install it :D. Looking at the AVX-700/710 or the AVX-800/810. Just trying to work out what the differences are between the various models.

Does anyone know, I'm really anxious to get my JVC headunit, but I don't want to muck around with cutting wires and screwing them into a block. Especially since I might want to return it to stock one day :|

I've read that it can affect fuel economy by up to 20 or 30%. Actually, come to think of it, it was in that Top Gear episode where Jeremy wanted to drive to Scotland and back on one tank in some V8 Twin Turbo Diesel. He said he was getting 40mpg without aircon, and 32 with it. So thats... 20%

Nice one! They are beginning to get cheaper :). I got mine a couple of weeks ago, March 08 build, Sterling Silver Ascent Manual Hatch with mats, headlight protectors and bonnet protector for $21150. I'm more than happy. In a week I did 1100km :D -

Yeah, I saw this thing on ebay a few days ago. I've lost it though. It piggy backs on the ecu, and decreases response time. It was about 400 delivered, and made by an Aussie company. I'm kicking myself for not bookmarking it :@

Hey all. Does anyone know where to find an ISO radio harness for the new corolla? I've searched for hours on the net, and couldn't find one that specifically stated it would work with the Auris or the ZRE. Hmm :S

So when do we think we'll be able to get accessories and aftermarket parts available for the zre? Getting really anxious here :P. Also, that tte pdf over at http://www.tte.de/cm_auris_E15_TF1.htm, how much would that kit cost once shipped? I mean, just the front, rear (with the two exhaust pipes), and side skirts.
