  4. The dash isn't different apart from that vent at the top, right?
  5. So, this Sunday anyone? :P Bit of a drive up to wisemans ferry and across to The Entrance for lunch. Back down on the old pacific highway? I'll make up a google maps link. I did this run ages ago with some mates, was great fun :D http://tinyurl.com/ThursdayDrive (Found it from an old Facebook thread, don't mind the Thursday bit :P)
  6. Yep Cuong, what they said :P You pull the silver bits down from the very top. You may need a taped up screwdriver to pry them up enough to get your fingers under. Pull them down and out and towards you. Pull the surround out from around the the headunit. Next, you'll need a 10mm socket with an extension on it. Undo the 4 bolts that hold the headunit bracket in place. Unplug the radio and get it out of the way. Everything that you see from here on in is clipped. Just pull with an even amount of force and things should come away. Modern cars for you. Plastic clips everywhere in the Corolla. If you see a panel and you want it removed, generally you just yank at it :P
  7. Anytime that day works for me. Photos might be best after sundown, glare sucks, especially when the sun is low. At dusk it should be good though!
  8. Hey, Nah it shouldn't have to be the same item. They should be able to put it all into one shipment. I'd love to see how they deliver such a massive order :P
  9. Hey mate, reposting to QLD might be a bit difficult :-/ I'm in Sydney.. Maybe you could come down to one of our meets? :P Wycliff/Pete, so are you guys both in? I can't wait to see the difference it makes to handling. What I'd really like is for John to come on here and tell us all about his front strut and also about his rear and if it makes more/less of a difference. Perhaps where he got said struts from and how much they cost him :D *cough!* :P
  10. Hey all, I'm thinking of organising a bit of a shared buy here. I've found a front strut brace for the Auris/ZRE Hatch (Maybe Sedan) from Nengun.com (http://www.nengun.com/c-one/tower-bar) Per unit price is $182.72. Delivery of 1 unit is: $116.82 Delivery of 2 units is: $197.13 Delivery of 3 units is: $277.44 Delivery of 4 units is: $357.75 Delivery of 5 units is: $438.06 Delivery of 10 units is: $876.13 I'm really interested, but I thought we could save a little on shipping if we bundle. Please reply if you want to be in :)
  11. Soo, if we made this Sunday, would we have just as many people turn up? :D
  12. Let me know when you do, after seeing John's twice now, I want one! :P
  13. hahahaha :) Sorry mate to inspire you that much LOL :) Looking at your set-up I can confirm that it is 100% the same as the sedan ZRE, so this system would fit it like a glove. The system starts from the flange after that big resonator all the way back to the twin tips. The pipe size of the factory set-up is very restrictive at 1.25". Hi-Tech have fitted 2" pipe all the way through. Oh nice. Now I'll be asking that age old question. How much? :P I thought that the cat was up the front near the extractors? The one in the middle is just a resonator/muffler isn't it?
  14. Wow, just wow! I love it! I had my car up on a hoist a few weeks ago. I should post the photos. I'm really tempted you know! Damn you shire, I'm blaming you for all my negligent spending on my car. You're so inspiring :P
  15. New engine too. With Valvematic! 2ZR-FAE as opposed to our 2ZR-FE. Damn it, next month my car won't be the latest model anymore :( I suppose it has been 3 years since this model came out..
  16. :( Can't do the Saturday, couldn't get off work. Sunday? :P
  17. 1. What are some of the best fuel scores people have got? (ltrs/100kms) Best economy I've gotten was about 675km to a 45L fill 2. Do you ever use 6th gear? All the time - when I'm feeling slow-and-steady. I'll change into it at 60km even. I think the revs there are about 1800rpm. Has enough to get around, and up small hills. 3. Is the "drive-by-wire" slow to respond?, and did it take some getting used too? It is a little and it was pretty annoying at first. But, now I like it. The drive by wire seems to smooth out the instructions given via the pedal. For example, at lights on a small hill, I'll have my left foot on the clutch, right on the brake. When I go to get off, I'll give the throttle a quick stab before letting the clutch out. The computer reads that stab as a smooth push down on the pedal and it makes take off nice and smooth. It's kinda hard to explain, but I've learnt how to use the drive by wire. 4. Is it worth getting a front strut tower brace? If so, which one and how much? n/a - Though I really want to get one so I'm waiting for responses here. 5. If you get your car serviced at toyota, is it really worth it? and do they also try to slip in something in that isn't on the list? Fixed $120 services for the first 3 years or 6 services. Been pretty good, they rotate the tyres and also check for things that could be warrantied. Ie, a crack that was on my centre console fascia and a noise my driver's window was making. At 20k they tried to tell me my air con filter needed changing and my injectors needed doing. $200 was quoted and I said no. (After 1 year!?) 6. Finally, are you happy with your purchase? Any little things that have been painful? I'm really happy, and I'm sure you'll love the levin. Painful, nothing.
  18. Oooh, cool. How much/Where from? And aren't they normally powered? Like, with a little switch and light on them?
  19. I do that all the time. I rarely use the handbrake, instead leaving it in reverse. Unless it's a decent sized hill I'm parking on.
  20. Nyawww, why is your clutch depresssed? :( :P I know it can be disabled on cars in general. We used to have some Getzs at work. One went into the 20k service and came out with the clutch switch disconnected. It was great..until we got it fixed again.
  21. Ah nice. Well, I ordered these last night : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...:EOIBSA:AU:1123 Probably not as bright as yours, but they're only parkers. :P I'm really loving how my headlights match my fog lights now :D It looked wrong before - with yellow and white.
  22. I'm up for it! Coming from the Shire as well, so Homebush is far more suitable :D Would someone be able to reconfirm the details?
