  1. Dude, those wheels are HOT HOT HOT.... very nice ! What rubbers are u gonna put on?
  2. If u leave it uncut with the stock exhaust. it will most likely melt. Just saw it a little to the shape of the exhaust. It'll look neat. Just an example:
  3. HI all, i've got a customed front lip and side skirt needed to be painted + installed. I've been to many panel beaters from yellowpages but non of all of them wanted the business. Apparently, most panel beaters only repair crashed cars with original bodykit. Can anyone introduce me to a place in Melbourne that does custom jobs? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks for the valuable info guys. I guess u all have a point. It's better to pay a lil more for the premium and being up front with the mods than getting a claim rejected/ involve in a court battle. Cheers.
  5. Hi guys, i'm trying to renew my insurance claim. Apparently, AAMI's premiem is a lot cheaper than RACV and other competitors. Reading their terms and conditions, i found in small prints that you do not get covered if 1) your car was converted, altered or modified from its maker’s specifications. 2) claim will be denied for having the non-standard accessories you have fitted to your car. I was wondering if anyone of you have any experience that your insurance company denied your claim because u modified your car? p/s: i'm especially worried about my 18" wheels as i know the maximum diameter is 17" for a corolla. Pls advice.
  6. Thanks for the tips mate. I love his black vinyl bonnet. His ride does stands out among the crowd. But he's in Perth, I'm in Melbourne VIC. Unless someone knows a vinyl place in Melbourne that i can do that. If not i'll stick to sandblasting, powder coating or painting my skirt. Cheers
  7. Nice.. Do PM me when u are going. Maybe i can join in. I'm not planning to powdercoat my wheels. But my calipers, a custom sideskirt and maybe my bonnet to matte black.
  8. HI BKS, is Masutti Bros the one at Tottenham Pde @ West Footscray? Did u get a mate's rate off him? That price is not bad. Btw, your ride ROCKS! Just a colour change to your wheels makes such a big difference to the look of the car. Keep it up.
  9. USD99 for a CAI is a really good price. Maybe we can even organise a group buy to save on postage. But a eBay seller with no response.......dodgie.
  10. Remus exhaust is surprisingly quiet.. it's just a little louder than stock.
  11. The triangle thingy is all sorted... instead of using washers to have the 2 ends meet, i ended up using some double sided tape. The end result of the rear skirt turned out pretty good. The Remus exhaust was a perfect fit as well.. I"m now one happy Corolla driver
  12. They are 18" TIG wheels. i was told it's somewhat mimic of the Volks Racings ones. Either way, i really like to its look, especially the colour. I think it suits my car.
  13. Thanks. i'm still trying to make sense of the great features of the website. i'll be putting up more pics and mods in near future. ;)
  14. Hi TOCAU, i've joined the club for a long time but I have been in the shadows for a long time. It's about time to share my pride n joy. Here's some pictures:
  15. let's get mythbusters to check it out ........BUSTED...lol
  16. Since we are debating about this SRi topic... hot air which decreases the lift/performance of the car, etc etc... Would you still choose to stick with SRi (ie: Apexi power intake) vs the sure to work Stock box with a good K&N panel filter. Any Thoughts??
  17. its easy if you aint spraying it. i DIY'd mine, if you have a second hand one, there should be holes already on the lip, what you do is take your mud flaps off, using one of the existing bolts, line the lip up and bolt it in. to hold mine up at the centre i used the black silicon glue stuff The thing is.... when i purchased my rear shirt, i wasnt provided screws and brackets. So i'll just need think of some way to hold it up properly. So, i've planned to get screws and lots of double sided tapes.... hehehe... that should do the job.
  18. Thanks guys.. I might try DIY... we'll see how it goes..
  19. Hi Melbournians, can you please recommend me any cheap panel beater to have my 2nd hand rear skirt installed? I've been quoted $200 (no paint job required just install) and i believe they are trying to rip me off. So, your recommendations and help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance, - Matrix -
  20. guys, havent u notice? that car is from the movie DEATH RACE. lol... the first one that exploded.. HEHEHE...

wow... is this the real thing or replica? 18" is for the looks. I have a set myself. it fits well.. but bare in mind, the bigger the wheels, the lesser rubber, therefore u'll forgo the performance. the decision is up to u. good luck mate.
  22. Hi guys, do you reckon we can melt a hole without detaching it from the car? Would it be easier? Hmm... it might stink the car up real bad. What do you think? p/s: would anyone like to help a newbie out with this DIY? I'm in melbourne and i dun mind travelling to any suburbs in Vic. THanks - Matrix -
  23. TRDYUS, your rear kit looks quite similar to the one in the picture. And it's sexy. Do u know the origin company (ie. brand name) or is it a custom one? Thanks. - Martin -
  24. Yup. The tail lights are no doubt from Japan. I saw them during my visit there. I love the reverse lighting strips. Can hardly see any in Aussie. If you want it, i suppose you can only order 'em from Jap. correct me if i'm wrong. And The tail lid is an add-on.
  25. I've done 52,000kms on my Corolla. Bought it since '03... Which reminds me, i've yet to bring my car for a 50K service. Btw, i'm relatively new here. So hope to see u Melbourne guys on the next event. - Martin -
