  1. Which is not a problem unless someone trys and says it's real. If you are content that it is fake, it's all good.
  2. Looks recessed, most likely fake, don't get too excited John
  3. thanks man. btw, have you checked with the insurance company about this? will it have any affect to claim due to this change? Why would I check? I'll leave that up to you.
  4. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php/topic/31274-zeinheigers-aurion-sportivo-08/page__view__findpost__p__433307
  5. Go to a panel beater/smash repairer and get quotes, they will be able to do the lot. 1stkill seems to have a decent repairer that he uses, may be worth asking him.
  6. Narva make those bulb covers/sleeves and can be bought from Autobarn etc.
  7. 2 1/4 inch will be fine. For a decent cat-back system expect to pay around $350.
  8. They abviously are designed to break if tightened too tight, Nice rim scrape on the guard
  9. ***AVOID ULTRATUNE*** With that said, they are probably trying to rip you off, I would suggest it would be something simple like a valve cover gasket. Get a compression test done elsewhere to make sure.
  10. Are you after that particular style?
  11. So everyone has 2 heads and the cars are radioactive? C'mon don't be so naive, they still have quality control etc. Plus the whole country is not glowing green.
  12. Hey guys, we will be holding a cruise on Sunday the 15th Jan 2012. We will meet at the Loop at 9AM, for those who don't know where it is PM me. From there, head up to Bribie Island and if you wish, hit the beach, otherwise sit around somewhere and talk sh*t as we usually do. Bring Lunch or there may be somewhere to buy something. Once we are done there, head back to my place for a BBQ, which I will provide snags and soft drinks(BYO steaks etc.), all I would ask for is a couple of dollars per person to cover costs. Also please bring your own folding chairs as we have a couple but not enough for everyone. If you are attending, please post below and I will add you to the list. Cheers, Trent.
  13. Is it an Auto or Manual? 8ishL/100km is factory, so if you are doing mostly city it wouldn't be too far off. As far as the leak where is it coming from? Driver's/passenger side, top/bottom of the engine?
  14. that seems like a silly idea... unless you wanted it to rev to infinity Would still make more sense than a 5S... Only fools modify 5S's...wait
  15. Possibly the worst idea I've heard for an 'upgrade'. The only usable parts from a 5S are the crank and block if you want to make good power.
  16. Liking the idea, not sure where to find... Evo I have the key :P Bob Jane should be able to supply. WHAT THE SH!T?
  17. I would imagine your probably right, I might have a go at it purely because I'm time rich at the moment though, despite that I was thinking I might run a pipe to the front end from the hole where the resonator attached and put that towards the front, mainly because I'm sure some leakage will be occurring with the current intake now that it's removed, the easiest point of flow for air would likely be towards the wheel alcove now. In regards to the heat shield itself, probably a pipe dream, especially when I have next to zero experience with metalwork, but I may give it a go. You could go to Bunnings and get a bunch of PVC and bends, then do a mock up of the CAI.
  18. To be honest it won't be worth your time or money, the gains are very minimal. Best bet would be to use a shield between the pod and engine/above the pod, but even then, not really worth it.
  19. Bingo, couldn't agree you more Dave. But apparently, well so I am told, it is more that an angled piece of steel.
  20. If you are serious about making your car faster...Just to think, you could be $260 closer.
  21. 1. You can get the tumblers in the locks reconfigured to suit the key, unsure on prices. 2. It may have come with non-remote central locking, but mostly they come with a remote seperate to the key, which have most likely been lost or broken. If this is the case you may be able to get a new remote from Toyota and have it coded to the car. If not, you can buy aftermarket kits and have them installed as well. A decent kit can be bought for around $100-$150 but the install may be quite pricey, best thing to do is ring around for quotes from Auto Electricians. I believe places like Autobarn and WOW Sight and Sound install them as well but sometimes have bad reputations.
