Hey Bruce, good to see youre active in the forum, i guess business is business. While on the topic, please PM me on the price ofTRD rear and front swaybars for the sportivo.
-
HA HA AWESOME E-Gene, maybe you can sell us some "TRD" parts under the counter should be good mate, im definetly coming down, hope you make "jackfruit" drinks man, love those things. Do we get VIP parking in front of the cafe?
-
Might tell them about the time i hit 210kph spinning at 7600rpm in 5th :D or the time the back seat was occupied by a set of 14dd's :P :P not to mention the blondie that left her mark on my front passanger door from her damn shoes
-
Back on the topic, Danz, the koni shocks are designed to simply replace your stock ones, and give you better handling, i dont think they will lower the car in any way, i presume youre talking about yellow Koni's.
-
Yeah, we had a forum attack about a month ago by a few of these ****ers
-
I doubt the stock tyres will last more than 40000 k's.
-
Thanx for your input luzinit, it is greatly appreciated aspecially coming from a rival car owner B) , however having said that it is good to join forces on issues as there are only a handful of high revving engines out there. You guys are lucky since you have more parts, we sportivo owners are going through a "hit and miss" period, trying new things.
-
Makes no difference really, infact could be the worse to shorten it, you need all the stick you can grip when making fast changes. It looks better but is it practical? I guess a longer knob aint always better :D
-
I dont think they lower the car at all, they just make it stiffer handling wise, i remember i asked for them nd they were around the $800 mark.
-
I'm from Canberra, ACT, and have been lurking on this forum for a long time.
Ther's a line in there but i wont use it :D :D :P :P
-
Yeah shes quite a sight now lowered with lids. The lids were courtesy of E-Gene, $50 via Hong Kong, and they cost me $20 to get them painted.
-
Go get them boyzzz :D , make sure when you shift 1st to 2nd, you do it around 7800 rpm, you should land between 6200-6400rpm, bubbye civic :) :)

when i went down to pick up my grill, i spoke to one of the guys (@ JR autoconcept, melb) and he told me that tom's are currently designing/building, a full system including the manifold down for the sportivo. since atm based on my understanding, that our AU spec, has the exhaust located on the righthand side, where as jap sec's are the lefthand side, there currently isnt an exhaust system for our AU stivo. (correct me if im wrong)
also they have headlamps (front) availiable for the rolla, about $500 a set, which are blacked out inside, instead of the silver finish, so i'm guessing it would sort of leave u with the look of a dc2 integra.
I think the exhaust and everything else for that matter is the same for the Jap Spec and AU, since both countries are RHD, so i dont se why the Jap spec exhaust would be on the left hand side.

You probably use the front seat for more than just hard drivin' son. All that grinding on the leather cant be good mate, always throw them in the back seat, a bit more room :P :P :P welcome aboard.

26 ;) Getting old, balls are starting to sag.

Dont know yet Danz, im going on a holiday next couple of months after finishing uni so i might have to wait till i get back. Id love a set of copper coloured rims, ive seen them on a black civic, really stood out. Ive been waiting for 4 months for these springs dude, about bloody time. Whiteline swaybar for rear is next, maybe swaybar for front as well. Handles awesome even with the rear torsion bar, and it's not alot bumpier than before, almost identical.
NIKICH i know what you mean, but its a lot lower, i can now reach the top of the car when washing, and it feels alot faster now, maybe coz im lower to the ground. Black is awesome but cleaning it is a prick as we all know. I wish i got the blue one, havent seen many of them around.
The way the car looks now in ride height is how Toyota should have brought the Sportivo's out as stock.

Pics are up of the new look with eyelids and a 40mm drop on the front, 30mm drop rear Eibach springs.

Exactly, so why does this clown start talking about bloody cleos and rx8's, not to mention volvo's and liberty gt's. Stating one's opinion is fine, as long as you have a valid point and stick to the topic.Nobody is saying our car is the best, and this topic was never meant to be argumentative, simply comparative. Why do i even bother sometimes ;) ;)
-
Just another example of a typical old school rolla owner, cant hack the quality and awesome looks of what is by far the best corolla to be hit Australia, the sportivo. If you want an RX8 what are you doing in this forum? we dont wanna hear it, so just shut it
-
They shouldnt even come close if you get a good launch, i spanked a workmate's vr with exhaust and gear box work, he didnt even come close. By 1st i had a car and a bit in front, by the time i redlined second he was 3-4 cars behind.
-
Yeah, same here man, i mucked up a few shifts taking on other cars.
-
Yeah, it's worth it though :D, the car looks fantastic even on 16's, those huge gaps between wheels and arches are gone, and the body roll around corners is gone too, it handles terrific.
-
I thought our 2zz's made 192 HP.
-
The idea has been mentioned before, however it is too dificult to arrange times for everyones' convenience. Weather isnt too flash these days either. Im up for cruises along as theyre on sundays, or sat nights.
