Ahh this thread brings the forum back to life. Whats funny is that I was the first on this forum to actually buy an Injen from IND Koncept and I am the first on the forum to own a CES exhaust in Vic. Its a shame that I didnt have both systems on the car at the same time. The problem is not about what brands, but related to people bragging about how big their c###s are, and thats what's annoying some of the boys. We have our meets, dyno days and drag days here in Vic, and after we post our results, there is always someone from another state "beautiful one day, perfect the next" that has something better to say. There is too much arrogance in some of the coments, and some of the guys here have had enough. It's also fair to say that since this forum has had a change in some of the mods, it's become some what boring.

Like negatron said in a straight line a stivo will pull harder, but on a twisty road a stivo has no chance, ive driven the new 06 model and they handle like a go cart.

Ive got a pod connected to a rubber hose, does the same thing. I am not experimenting over CAI's any more :) will spend cash on something more important like the stockmarket where im getting back more cash not kw's. Think about it :) .Its just a pipe, it's the pod flow that matters. I have a K&N Appollo for sale, would be prefect on a 1zz, but a little too restrictive foe a 2zz.

TRD is reuseable, probably made by K&N :), you can get a foam type from ITG for around $160 (look it up under www.hiclone.com.au). The difference in top end might be only marginal, however you should PM Bill (omni1potent) on the topic.

He's making quite alot on top. We could probably organise a group buy direct with c-one(if they speak english) and save a heap on caratge, probably pick them up for under a grand.

I would not swap the CES over the original any day, unless you own one you are not allowed to comment simply based on a dyno chart. These measuring tool are about as accurate as stevie wonder trying to pot an eightball. Every equipment is prone to errors which are anywhere between 1-5%, so unless you own a CES system dont dish it, people have spend alot more money on mods such as trd extractors, which on a dyno wont show much gains but in real life driving, make the car soo much better to drive.

Not really, because under driving conditions the current setup is more userfriendly so to speak and not as noisy. But i do miss the noise of the trd unit :)

Lol believe me it will void warranty :) as you are not fixing, you are opening, and they see it as messing around. But you knew that.

I hope you guys are not foolish enough to think that a ces exhaust is bad for the car because i lost 1kw at top end. I have gained more at low end, and had i still had the rampod i would have had more.
