  1. I wouldnt bother going there lads, all fat bit@hes.
  2. Yeah it's farked, it matters what customer service rep you get for the day and how much they feel like charging you. There should be laws on this. Its just a big scam.
  3. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! totally wrong there lucio Stop believing in fairys man, its an unproven thing and its totally un-noticeable. Its one of those theories that hasent been proven yet. In theory it works, but in reality makes no difference. I have it done just for the record, but if you can think that you can tell the power diff of 1-2 kw then youre dreaming. But anyway you can prove im wrong by supplying a dynosheet???? :) rite? Does the air passing through the throttle body have enough time to heat up to a degree where it makes a difference before entering the combustion chamber?
  4. Hola Juan :) Welcome to the Aussie forum. I do not have one myself but have driven a corolla with quick shift and can tell you it was better than standard. Feel free to ask anything and have fun searching the forum, there is alot of great information and alot more bullsh!t too :) enjoy and welcome aboard.
  5. Wait till livefor6 reads this :). I actually drove both his rx8 and mazda mx5. had real fun in the rx8, and in a straight line it was definetly faster than the stivo, around corners it handled on rails. The mx5 had no chance it was only a squirt around the block, but yeah lacks a bit of power but would handle like you said. nice cars either way.
  6. I had my car serviced today for its 20,000 kms and it cost $200. The service for the 10,000 kms was $237. To make it more strange this time I asked for fully synthetic and the put Mobil 1 5w 40 where as before it was semi-synthetic. I wish there was a standard price and there would be some regulations put into place. There are too many differences between dealers and more than often its the location of the dealership that is the most influential in the decision making process not the price. Sux :(
  7. Its mostly 100kp/h with the exception of a few major highways at 110kp/h. Then theres a stretch between Adelaide and Alice Springs (i think) where theres is no limit.

  12. The cams on the 2zz are pretty good according to Meridian Motorsports. What was known as after market cams about 10 years ago are now in our sportivos. He started going on about degrees and stuff, but either way thay are pretty good.
  13. Mate I wouldnt waste my time, it's one of those mythical mods that adds jack shiet. If you cant access the hoses dont bother, all you will do is flush coolant everywhere and end up in a mess.
  14. Its GM crap, for the money they go for you'd be better off with a VW golf GTI. Ive seen the comparison between the GTI the Astra and the Magane. The astra is the quickest and torque steers like a mofo, for resale value and quality the VW wins hands down. Besides it has 2 doors, cant pack my fishing rods in it :)
  15. I'd go the electric supercharger...even better Negatron, get a custom made funnel type cover for the radiator fan and connect the other end of it to the throttle body, drill ahole for the Air Flow Sensor and you have a fan driven charger :)
  16. The car is due for a service tomorrow, my dealership will only use semi-synthetic, load of crap.
  17. Yeah panel filter doesent make it stock anymore, its techincally a mod to enhance better air flow over stock which is a performance mod. You should do a run with the stock air filter and a run with the panel one to see the diff.
  18. I'm down for another one. Make sure you book the little blondie as well :). Ask if she can be the prize this time :P
  19. According to NRMA it costs on average around $170/week to run the sportivo, the cheapets is the ascent around $140/week. The most exopensive in this category out of the cars testes was the Wrx Sti at $287/week. In a year you are looking at around $9,000 in running costs (excluding mods). To keep a car running for 5 years you are looking at $45,000 + cost of the car $30,000 = $75,000/5 years. Resale value after 5 years...$18,000 maybe? Its all sounds over the top and extravagand, but has anyone calculated the real cost per week, considering petrol, tyre wear etc etc. I think it would come close to $150/week. Not a cheap car to run the sportivo, even though we consider it a bang for your buck.
  20. It would be a niche car, cop lots of bagging in australia because it doesent have a ford or holden/daewoo badge and would ultimately fail in this media driven and influenced society. I can't see it making its way down here with our small population and small sports car market segment. Too much cost for Toyota and probably not worth the trouble as previous models of Supra and Mr2 have shown to be nothing but a waste of time here. But we can only hope.
