  1. Seen the beige leather real life and it matches the interior well. I am a kid in terms of keeping interior clean, so I had to give it up. Keep up the good work. I don't have much spare time to polish the interior of the car nowadays.
  2. Free carwash is worst than free sex. Best example then
  3. Carwash at dealer? Serious? I have never wash the car since Stage 3a water restriction started. I go to the same hand carwash place, the same one that Porsche Melbourne uses for their customers car (*not proven, but I saw a Porsche tech drove couple of nice Porsche to the same car wash).
  4. Hey scott_c They look very good. I should consider buying one
  5. And Boleh. 50 50 torque split yes.
  6. I am too lazy to link you the spec of the AWD system in Kluger. Believe in me, they are all time 4WD.
  7. TRD hybrid may be I don't mind a TRD Kluger, only if the "wee" noise is not that prominent.

    Kluger Sat Nav

Sounds like a software issue??? So the GPS position is still spot on?
  9. It meant to be a joke. It is a rip off to charge people more for a different colour really. It is another way that dealer makes money to me.... It hardly worth an extra $750 (or whatever that was) when the paint is widely available in the Toyota factory. I meant the cost of the metallic and non-metallic paint should be minimal since they make gallons of it.
  10. Check eBay in a month or 2. SOmeone will download all the file and sale one in CD/DVD.
  11. WTF??? I don't understand their logic... please explain
  12. I noticed that long time ago, but I don't find this annoying. Victorian has been forced to be speed obsessive. The more the margin the better. On highway, since we know the gap, we just set it at 110kmh on the dash and real 104kmh will not attract any Victorian cops. The odometer is very true though. And that is what I really care. Recalibrate the speedo is a very big effort I though . Because I was going to change the gear ratio of my track car, but the cost of recalibration is high. So waiting the 8 becoming a track car (no need to register)...
  13. it is "optional" meaning they will charge you more. You cannot get the same colour without this "option", or a non-mica metallic red .... if you are worry about they forgot the "option" in your car. If they really did <_<, your car will worth heaps more since it will be one of a kind
  14. Is that a sydney thing? I don't use the horn that much, so I don't even know what it sounds like in the Kluger

    towing

    Ah I see :o.
  16. I found the type of traffic is VERY significant in the mileage you get. 60 kmh free run is far better than stop start traffic. Heavy right foot is another BIG factor. I can show you the same route, same day and same time. I can drive from 10L/100km to 15L/100km, depends on my right foot. For the best city record (for a short distance), I fueled up 91 RON Shell and drove from Shell near Pancake Palour on Doncaster Road to Kew via Doncaster road only (not freeway). I got home at 9.7L/100km for those 6km. It was 9pm on Monday night, you see. Watch the indicator when you drive (did I say that? ) You will learn how to drive lean.
  17. It will look different on different car. So we went out for a hunt of the white Kluger before we are confident having one. We even not satisfy the KX-R look. Grande looks different in white. Having said that. Your red is metallic. Take it under the sun. Mica metallic has less silver (I think) but it will shine in different shade (not silver)

    towing

Interesting to know the reason behind electric brake control?
  19. I was imaging what you mean.... I said to my wife who try to get in a tight spot in the carpark at Box Hill centro and you know how tight they are. Wide at the mark (if you are parking left, go to the far right). Late turn in (and turn fast) Aim to have the car as quickly straighten while you are inserting to the drawn rectangle of the car park. ... it does sound like car racing. Wide wide wide... late turn in. accelerate (not here <_<)
  20. BTW my wife spent her $20 and learnt it once. And then she taught me!! Ray, forward facing is 10x easier than backward. Trust me.
  21. To be honest, Wife and I have done it so many times in all our cars... we are the professional doing so. You need to learn the trick though. Alyssa is 3 1/2 and Jesslyn is 17 months now and we have fitted the same thing for about 50 times, moving to my 8 and other places. They are all the same principle. Here is my trick; I think I make it as safe as I can. Make sure the surface is not loose, a flat surface is the best but if you have leather you can place a towel; but with experience that do not make a lot of difference either. If your car seat comes with a mat underneath - USE IT! They use the best material for the job. Then get a load. Best to have a carton of coke, if my wife did not see this (she said it is dirty, baby sit in it for *** sake <_<); but it will help the seat stay level, and I think it will give the best(safest) adjustment. Try to shake the seat at this point, find the spot on the adult seat that is the most steady for the child seat (with the load you will find it easy) Loosen the back hinch and lock it in first. Then tighten it, unless you have Poppei's arm, the seat will stay still. Then the seat belt, make sure you go through the hole prescribed (....I was going to make a dirty joke :P:lol:). If the kluger does not lock the belt, make it so. Otherwise, you have to buy a clip to lock it in. Hope this helps
  22. And if you do, what assurance do you have that it will end up in your car ? The best answer (response) of 2008! I don't think I will care, although synthetic is tougher and if you do a lot of towing and 4WDing that it is worthwhile. There is no incentive for me when it is included in the price and they are not going to deduct from $150 when you supply your own oil (or will they???? ). I will try next time I am sure. Now you make me thinking....
  23. That is right. You can see the advantage of it in Sydney when some tunnel has an exit in the middle of it. I can vow for that in the Burnley tunnel that you there is a small exit to Burnely just before the main exit to M1. The Kluger can pinpoint the exact point of exit (like in any other street). I think that is pretty smart. Now that makes me want to drive the car to Sydney for a holiday
  24. Nice pic .... although there is no hill but muddy place will be difficult for our highway tyres. They don't grip well even with some mud on a steep hill. It is a light off roader .... NOT CONVINCE! I will try next time at Lorne (Jamieson track) to get up that stupid hill . Once I get through that I prob can hold a meet so all AWD Kluger can go together
  25. If the traction control works very well. You will still sit in your lane. Front wheel drive traction control needs to calculate the steering angle and if they are too aggressive they are not much fun. If you have time, can find and drive Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, you will find their traction control is the most aggressive. I can come across during research for my RX-8 and during test drive on a dry road large roundabout, I could make ESP work very easily (for a 184kW V6). So aggressive that it makes the car so slow and I barely got out of the way from the coming traffic. I also driven a Mazda MPS 3 with 190kW at the front wheel at a wet Sandown drive day. Man it is scary. The traction control is on and the car pushes out (understeer) on power.
