  1. Oh the Toyota logo. I got you there! I reverse the Kluger into the garage so I do not see this problem a lot. I thought when you put to R, wait 2 sec, it will come on. Was that 2 seconds too long???
  2. Not surprising all the cables are there to start with, but well done so far. Arm yourself with a camera and lots of pics when the steering wheel is off please
  3. You are impatient Ray! Yes I also want to disable the startup "I agree" screeen, but there is no answer to that at all (from this site or overseas). I will be glad and thrilled if I am proven wrong ^_^
  4. I waited a long time before I draw conclusion. Was looking at the white CX-9 and feel that I should have had a Mazda, but no constant 4WD, all the Grande gadget and this fuel bill. I have made the right choice! http://www.ozmazdaclub.com/forum/cx-7-cx-9...ion-cx-9-a.html

    Towing caravans

Have not tow a caravan, but it pays to http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=14109
  6. You forgot the 2 wheel option, cycling!
  7. Not sure how the cruise range being calculated. I suspect they record the average fuel consumption of the car and work the cruise range then. 10L is left when the fuel light is on. Last time I put 65L in it when it just light up.
  8. Piranha one (size 126 should fit) http://www.4x4store.com.au/Piranha-Mud-Sno...-pr-101236.html 6mm one is better me thinks http://www.4x4store.com.au/Piranha-Mud-Sno...-pr-101235.html Konig, from their website http://www.konig.it Matching chain size:(265) for 255/55 19, or size (255) for 255/50 R19. The snow chains that you can fit on your vehicle are: Supermagic 4x4, K SUV T2 Magic, T2, Polar, Rallye or DR models. Which one of them is good?
  9. The seat is tilted to the side because the shoulders of the both seats touches each other (both are now forward facing). If we had 2 seats with slightly narrower shoulder than it is not a problem. On top of my head, the older girl is sitting on a Safe-n-sound Maxi rider, but not sure the younger one is using, just one of the Safe-n-sound one.
  10. You are still one lucky man Paul .... good colour choice (in a way ;))
  11. Yeah that is good details No wonder it feels so hot with the roof open
  12. Kruzenvax. That is not even a lot of miles to get that 9L/100km! I can beat that! Highway I can do 8.1L/100km! haha. As I said the car is good econ, if you have a good right foot. The margin is so huge between very light foote drive and very spirited drive that it is something that owners should be aware off.
  13. Honest answers: I don't have 3 children (and decide never will), but I have put the 2 baby seats next to each other (middle and right). The middle one is not fitting well. In fact when the 2 seats are on the sides, the only one can seat comforably is my skinny sister in law, or my wife and they are size 6, 5"2. I had my 3.5 yo in the booster in the middle and SHE LOVES the middle centre premier seating for the DVD player Curtain airbags are totally safe for child restrains. The sensor is not on the seat and it will affect the "function" of airbags.... there are still plenty of rooms for the bag to expand. Curtain comes from the B pillar of the car not the seats??
  14. Really R&D -_- or searching the best cost price to rip us off. For something like a tow bar maybe it is worth while, but roof mounting for bicycles or side steps I think I will go aftermarket
  15. Personally I think the AWD is awesome on the road too. FWD will very limit what you can do on the dirt/snow covered road. I mean the tyre comes with Kluger is not the best to start with. AWD always tow better too, IMHO
  16. You said it. Stop and start is the worst for fuel consumption wise. It is not the braking or idling, but the accelerating part of the traffic. So I now crawl under 10kmh (no brake or acceleration, but have the foot on the brake preparing to brake) and let the car roll very slowly to the car in front, and it is way better than get to tail end of the car in front by using accelerator and brake to stop. You will definite save lots of fuel if the traffic starts again before you reach the car in front - .... if you are a cyclist you will sort of understand what I mean; accelerate from 10kmh is much easier in terms of effort than from 0 kmh. I am a nut trying to save a bit of fuel, I know, but I just have to compensate the heavy right foot that my wife has. But my wife is getting better, today she did 15.8L/100km inner city run. So I think in a normal driving style, 17.1 is a good effort in traffic. Try to be smoother and limit the time you use the right foot (to brake or to accelerate). Good luck. I wonder if I drive something the same in something like CX-9, what will I get...
  17. rzkman has a point; I thought factory setting for sensitivity is 3 out of 5. Most sensitivity that comes on the latest do you guys think? I have to admit that sometimes only the low beam is on during dusk.
  18. rEEza there are 2 thing you can change on the auto lights (from the owners manual) and the US site. Intensity that it tricker the (+) signal. The time of this (+) signal to last in order to turn on the lights... I think the intensity is ok, and I admit under the bridge is very dark, but only 1 sec latency is too short, even in car parks I don't mind a 3 sec delay before the lights comes on as long as it is on inside the car park. Of course, you can have it on under every tree....
  19. Oh well... I was going to suggest hormone.... but I won't My wife park funny in the garage, and hopefully she will not touch my car on the way in <_< BTW! is there a way to change the automatic light setting WITHOUT going to the dealer?
  20. Something I forgot to ask and may not be relevant to you... I forgot to tell them to set the auto headlight longer latency so it will not turn on under a bridge at cruising speed... You know it looks like I am flashing someone in front, and I drive very politely at all times
  21. Found more info on it. The only device which is working in Melbourne now is the Mio Digiwalker. The lifetime fee is $129, which is not bad I suppose, could be cheaper <_< http://tmc.mio-tech.com/?Page=2 More info here http://www.cnet.com.au/cartech/gps/print.h...599t-340000073c
  22. Any idea? Do we have an antenna for the Sat Nav or can we get one? Will it work for our cars? It will be great if so. Please advice http://www.sunatraffic.com.au/consumer/index.html EDIT: or any other service that we can use on the Grande Sat nav?
  23. Never seen problem with disc like this, may be it is because the disc does not sit properly in the machine so it is scratching onto something? What version do you have? I am not sure if I copy the disc it will work 4 you?
  24. Update. Just get a hold of the V14 disc (Thank you!~ ^_^ ; you know who you are) When I put the new disc in, the nav needs to run for about 20 seconds to "load" the disc. Interesting. And some setting has been erased, like the recent entry. Somehow I think the screen look different but I cannot pinpoint what. The map is larger and have some road in Taneit that I have not seen before in the old map. Very good. Except the map is bigger, I cannot see any change. Still work the same way as the V13. All the set up is the same. Hey, that makes me want to ask. How can we change the date/time on the sat nav? or they get the info from the Satellate?
