  1. That sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeet ***** man! Is it finalised? When will we be able to line up to buy one? :D Is it a short ram intake?
  2. Looks great mate. The rims look a bit for 19" haha must be because it's black. Also which coilovers did you go with and how much did it set you back?
  3. $1200? What a bargain. 18" right? Do they come in 19"? Also do you mind posting up some pics of your whole car as i would like to see what it looks like from a distance. Thanks
  4. New wheels look dope!! If you don't mind me asking, where'd you get them from and how much?
  5. Received a reply from the Thai suppliers. It'll cost $80 US dollars which is roughly $124 AUD. But it looks colourless, it's not black. Heres the picture they sent me when i asked for one. Do i just spray paint it after? Do i need some special sort of water proof spray paint?
  6. I've got a Black Aurion with Midnight Express tint. Had it done about 2 weeks ago. It's fairly dark... but i definitely would want it darker if i could. The name 'Midnight Express' can be a bit misleading but hey, at least it includes 'the darkest "legal" tint'. Most of the time during the day from different side angles it can look black, night time it's definitely what i would like it to look like during the day :) Anyways good luck with it!
  7. Thanks for the info. I've email the guys at the Thai website, but they haven't replied. Maybe i should try again but I've also found this on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...T&viewitem= Do you guys think this grill will fit? Buyer looks pretty legitimate.
  8. Pretty much. Some of us with the grill haven't taken the step of debadging though. The black mesh behind the grill is optional as well, but it definitely helps in bright sunlight where from a few steps back, you can't see the mesh of the grill and just see the radiator. Sooner or later, the mesh grilled Aurion will be the standard Aurion style. Firstly it is best to heat the badge up a bit. Using a hair dryer or leaving the car in the sun for a bit usually does the trick. Then you slide some fishing wire underneath and with gentle sawing motion, slide it across the entire badge. Then if you can, remove as much of the adhesive foam like residue with a fingernail. For the remaining adhesive, you can remove that with a goo remover such as 'oomph', citrus oil or eucalyptus oil, even lighter fluid (though I'd prefer the others). If you have some shadow left behind from the badge, you can remove that with a little cut and polish or swirl remover. Other tips and hints which may help are located here: DIY debadging debadging my car?? Badging my Car.. Thanks for the info DJKOR, always full of knowledge. Could you maybe pm me some reliable sources from Thailand regarding the grill?
  9. I'd be one of the first in line to purchase one if it's a success. Don't think purchasing a panel filter will do it for me. Good luck!
  10. So what's basically done is everyone has bought the black grill from Thailand and debadged the front then put black mesh to cover the inside of the grill? Can someone please clarify is this correct? lol. Just a bit confused. Looks hot, thinking of doing it. And if someone could just maybe give a short guide to debadging? I believe you use a fishing line? Any help/information is appreciated.
  11. Sorry guys. Was just curious as to if anyone knew who's car it was and if it was actually 'modded'.
  12. Hey guys, Was flipping through the latest ASM issue 72 and noticed a modded Aurion on page 138, picture 3. Could this possibly be owned by anyone on the forum?
  13. Also going a bit of topic - why did Toyota make the Aurion FWD? Wouldn't it have been better to make it RWD or AWD?
  14. Utopia Myaree? I was there after dinner with gf and family around 6.30ish,7?
  15. 13? Zzzz.. lucky ***** :P 13th - KEN 14th 15th 16th 17th - Jeremy, Jason, 2nd Jason, ERICCCCCCCCCCCC 18th - Andy 19th 20th 21st 22nd 23rd 24th 25th Looks like a lot of people finish on Monday.
  16. I copped a speed fine over the weekend and they were operating at the top of a short/bend hill off the exit freeway. Are they allowed to use radars like that? Cause there was no prewarning that they were there, i guess they're the pigs i mean police so they can do anything right?
  17. AH random but i spotted that STi yesterday infront of Curtin library, he scratched the bottom of his front bumper lol.
  18. Spotted black rolla number plate 1COK 888 elegance badge on it? Infront of the Curtin library. Also been seeing black rolla MLY a lot around Curtin last couple of days. Clarification is prefacelift before 05 and face lift is 05 onwards?
  19. DJKOR said that you only have to dissemble the bumper if you want to perfect align the lights? So I'm guessing you can install the HIDs without taking your bumper off, and just having the hood up? (Sorry I'm a complete noob)
  20. To me it sounded like a creaking sound coming from the left hand side of the dash sort of just below the windscreen and in about 80mm from the tweeter. happened on normal roads at sort of 40-60k speeds and particularly bad on chipseal or older corrugated roads. everyone, including Toyota, thought it was a dash noise. If this sounds like yours, then get them to go under the bonnet and get into the wiper mechanism area. Good Luck! I know how frustrating it is Oh that sounds like mine. I just realised it a couple of days ago. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger side underneath the wiper somewhere near the tweeter. So it's under the bonnet where the problem lies? I also have the creaking dash lol. have to get both fixed when i bring it in for service next time.
  21. Wow hot pic man!! Going a bit of topic here but I've never taken the bumper of my car before. Apparently you have to take the bumper off the Aurion to put in the HID kit (there's a sticky at the top of the Aurion page for taking off your bumper). Personally I'm a bit worried and nervous taking it off myself, can anyone tell me if it's a hard job or not? Do i only need a set of screwdrivers? I plan to do it soon.
  22. Congrats on your new car mate. I myself had my heart set on the gold on the way to the dealership but in person it didn't look as good as i thought it would've been but hey it's your care and I'm sure you'll love it as much as the rest of us I wish i had sunroof as well ;)
  23. Definitely the silver one. I have a black one, even though it is sexy, it's a pain in the ***** to keep clean and scratches, marks swirls show up like crazy. For some reason since i've laid eyes on a silver one, it's been my favourite colour for the Aurion. Even though silver is a common colour it just looks so good on the Aurion. On the other hand, not on the list is the gold one (which i don't think is available anymore?) which i was interested in when i was considering buying an Aurion but when i got up close it kind of reminded me of baby poo/baby food for some reason. But hey you never know you might like it and since it's unavailable anymore it's even more exclusive. Which ever colour you pick up, the Aurion is a great car and I'm sure you won't look back! Ps. Also if you're buying brand new, i would make sure that they fix the dash rattle noise. When you take one for a drive I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. People on this forum have already discussed it and I have yet to get mine fixed.
  24. I think i spotted trdsaads on William st entering the Horse Shoe Bridge today around 6ish? It was a red corolla with a muffler/exhaust.
