does anybody have any custom boot installs done in there Rollas? sorry to high jack the thread.

I havnt got a system up and running yet, but i do have a shopping list of things i have and will b buying

currently have:

1.5 rolls of Sound deadener, probly close to 85 Square ft.

Audion SRx2S (Going to be used for front splits)

Focal 165A Split (rear speakers)

Need to get:

Audison SRx2S (to run sub)

Audion SRx2 (to run Rear speakers)

Boston G512 (sub)

Hertz HSK165 (front splits)

Some sort of double Din Touchscreen DVD source, preferably pioneer 1

Doing full boot install

Hey mate, I run a JL 12w3v2 in sealed enclosure powered by a Jaycar monoblock running 800wrms @ 1 Ohm, sounds nice, cost about 300 for the sub, 50 for the box, and 300 for the amp.

Spend a bit more and get a top HU. FOr instance, i have a CD4000 Eclipse HU and it would be one of the best sound quailty ones on the market in its oprice range. But if your willing to spend 600 get the CD7000 (or CD7100 for 700) and i can assure you, you will be VERY happy with it

I use 2 Kenwood 12" subs which match up perfectly with the 1100w amp (kenwood) and they sound awesome. I was using a ****ty HU originally and they sounded great. Once i got the new HU it wounded secks (400 installed... thats heavily discountec ause of the amount of money ive spent at lifestyles)

My system is basically all Pioneer in my '03 Corolla sedan. I don't think Pioneer is held in high regard here, but I'm happy with it as a first off system.

DEH-P3950MP CD deck so I can connect an iPod.

TS-A1672S 16cm 3 way rear door speakers powered by the deck

TS-C1625 16cm splits with 2cm dome tweeters for the front doors powered by GM-3200T 2 channel amp (I think max power is 120W)

GM-7200M mono amp for powering TS-W3004SPL 30cm (12inch) sub in an enclosure.

The sub enclosure has no acoustic bass port though. I do not know if it is better to have one or not. Currently it sounds alright, but I am curious if it'd perhaps sound smoother with the port. I'd guess distortion is less without a port?
