Hi guys im new to the forum. I just bought my first corolla sportivo 04 at a dealers.

I think the recall for the ecu hasnt been done yet. There was no recall sticker on the side door.

Factory Warranty already expired FEB 07, can i still get the recall done? Or I cant?

Thanks guys

Check the sticker on the ecu to see if the serial no has a '1' on the end of it.

i guess he means the serial number of all the new ecu's ends with 1.

ecu is hiding behind the dash... there's a write up in the workshop submissions area im pretty sure

the pre face lift sportivos are the only ones that were effected by the ECU recall, face lift ones are all ok

i talked to the dealer that i bought the sportivo from, and they called toyota, and the dealer told me that the my sportivo has already been recalled, and its in their system that the previous owner got it done.

The thing is, why isnt their a recall sticker on the side? And apperntley, the previous owner was a 50 yr old lady, would she know if this?

How would i know if theyr talking **** to me or not?

Well it's pretty simple... Why don't you just call up toyota yourself, or if there's one near by, go in toyota yourself, and find out/hear for yourself...

maybe a silver sticker in the door jam is not to a 50 yo ladies taste and she removed it... it's not that hard to do. :whistling:
