me n my gf's father in law wer talking about corolla's tonite and he said that toyota made a limited edition TTR corolla ? can any1 show me a pic or varify it cause i dont recall ever hearing bout one

yea ive seen a few...

i think it was still a 1zz.. in fact its just an ascent with ttr badging and cosmetic changes

Toyota are (in)famous for release mechanically identical "high spec" cars. another example is the ST162 "white lightning" celica - it was the same but "different" hahaha

I blame it on the Japanese overlords running toyota. They strictly protect the "blandness" of the logo which forces the marketing department to come up with their own ways to make things more exciting (current and previous model sportivo being the only exception, of course )

Accent Sport = Facelift Accent with Spoiler and 15" wheels...

Series 1 2005 - 2006 Just an accent inside

Series 2 2006 - 2007 got Passenger airbag + front power windows

Accent TTR was the pre-face lift name for accent sport.

As to comparing it with the conquest, its just an accent with cosmetic benefits. No ABS or anything similar to the conquest

The Dec '01 Conquests had 1 airbag, power windows in the front only and no ABS too ;)

na the "sport" thing sounds about right.

TTR kinda implies something extra is under the bonnet, kinda like TRD on the corolla would (or SHOULD) imply a supercharger is somewhere in there..

TRD stickers shouldnt be used if youve only put on the gearknob.. lol
