Hi guys,

I am new here. Just upgraded my head unit to a single din head unit. Problem now is, it's ugly with a huge gap... Can anyone help me out to where i can purchase a double din pocket to fill up that hole? i'm in melbourne so stores or places that does delivery to melbourne will be great.

I've rung the Melbourne City Toyota parts department and they said they have parts for it. And when i went there only to be served by another salesman (rather rude though, maybe i caught him on the wrong timing) saying "If you've installed aftermarket stuff, I can't help you anymore!!"

PS: The din pocket is for a 2003 corolla sedan

Hi there,

Toyota make a single din pocket. It is out of a Camry or a Corolla and suits almost every vehicle on the road today. Simple to install, just a couple self tappers and it is in. Shouldn't be more that $15 from your nearest Toyota dealer.

Toyota part number is 55521-YA020-20

Thanks Guys for the quick response. I got a single din pocket from Autobarn now. However there's still gaps on the sides. I'll figure something to fill that VOID,...

This is kinda Noobish question but i have to ask (Coz i'm a noob learning to mod my car :D ) Do any of you felt a massive loss of accelaration after installing the audio system in the car? can this be fixed with a more powerful Car Battery or the sub is just too heavy?

Marcus is right you can Buy the wings from Toyota to fill the spaces and they are quite cheap. Man how big is your stereo if that is the case re power loss. You may have to get a bigger alternator (AMP output) if that is an issue. And don't forget as the hearing specialist may say the louder it is the the deafer you get...pardon  . Once you lose your hearing you never get it back just be careful and enjoy it in moderation.

My Sub is pretty standard, a 12inch MTX 300w with a MTX 400w 4 channel amp. My Pioneer front splits and the Sub is connected to the amp and the stock rear speakers to my Pioneer HeadUnit (50w x 4 mosfet). Thanks for the advise Peekay i'll be careful with the volume (don't wanna end up deaf when i'm old :( ) I just want clear music in me car.... :D - Is my amp power sufficient?

I think you should go to an Autoelec and get them to test the current draw which could adversly affect the power to your car. The battery on the Rolla is not that big. Just to be safe not sorry.

my 12" subwoofer and front splits are powered by a 4 channel 400 watt amplifier. the rear speakers are powered by the head unit. so we are running the same and i believe your amplifier is sufficient for clear sound.

i have my pioneer spliiys running off a bridged 4x50 amp and my clarion v net 10' sub is runnin off a bridged 2x150 amp :D just dont have the stereo 2 loud with out the motor runnig :D
