Just my opinion but man... thats old man styles on such a nice car :), get some protectant and spray over the dash, cover up the windscreens when your facing the sun, and dash mats cover the top part of the dash, which you wouldnt be touching so often anyways me thinks...

Also be careful where you put your mats as it could hinder the passenger air-bag deployment.

I little off topic.

I find when I use protectent such as ArmourAll it leaves a reflective finish. This causes a bit of distraction when driving becuase it reflects back off the windscreen.

I did buy a cheap black travel rug for a while and place it on the dash. This helped cut the sun and reflections and heat on the dash ........

**************DONT GET THE ONES OFF EBAY*******************

I got a dash mat off ebay and it was soooooo thin and sh*t. The air bag space in the dash was a seperate piece and just didnt fit right. But i purchased another one through a place like autobarn, and it is brilliant. It is thick, matches the colour exactly ( so it doesnt stand out) and fits exactly, and it only cost me about 40 bucks. You dont even really notice it.

Most times i buy stuff of ebay, but unfortunately this time was a bad choice.

I just loop a couple of cable ties thru the air vents & across a dashmat airvent hole - saves using velcro or anything else glue-like on the dash

I bought the Sunland dashmat for the Aurion to try and reduce the dashboard glare - ut fitted OK - it was [for anyone interested] 1 mm short on LHS over the speedo/instrument cluster but rest fitted OK. Has flap also for passenger airbag.

But issue is they put the "sound" holes for the dashboard super-tweeters in wrong spot [which equates to 12 drilled holes on each side of mat]. They are placed at the extreme ends of mat whereas the tweeters reside more into the middle of dash covers. Nonetheless it completely stops the tweeters working. Took it back and got a full refund.

Cost $48.99 - disapponted by Sunland due to their good reputation. Fix for them is simple -

- move sound holes

- + provide cutout where dashboard speakers are as the holes will still block/mask the sound to a degree and make audiophiles like me cringe... :nono: as it changes the cars very good sound stage...

SOLOMAN:

Toyota Don't do dash mats as an accessory but many of the Toyota dealers including the one i work for source there's from Sheveron industries, these guys make a great quality dash mat, they also make seat covers, window sox, window rap. rear window sun screens and floor mats, visit your local dealer and see if they suppy sheveron products and im sure if they don't then they would have some other supplier of such things. Cost on ours to give you some sort of an idea is $59.95.

SCOOTA:

You mentioned that it didn' have cut out area for the passenger front air bag, so you mean that the air bag is covered right? If so it may just pay to make a flap around the air bag otherwise in a crash it may render the airbag useless and maybe even dangerous... :S

yes it has the square cut out, but didn't come with the seperate piece that just sits over the airbag zone. maybe thats why it was cheaper.
