the 2001 sportivo that had the turbo and produced a 115kw. pretty low spec.

Has anyone owned or worked on one?

can you up the boost and still be reliable on the standard engine?

If so, by how much?

what sort of power do you think you could obtain?

thanks Kev

Kev they're pretty disappointing for a turbo car, they aren't exactly up there in terms of performance.

Personally I can't answer your question but a guy on here called Greddy_ES owned one. He now has an MR2. Look for him in members rides.

Kenneth you're probably thinking 0.4 BAR which is about 6psi

You could run more boost but you definately would need some new internals that can handle it.

If you want more boost, maybe a larger intercooler and run better fuel. IIRC they are quite prone to pinging, so maybe a re tune is in the order. Not exactly the tougest of engines, all they did was slap a turbo on....and on a 7AFE the conrods are so fragile its not funny.

hey guys

thanks for the feedback.

that is what i didnt want to hear (saw one for sale for $12000 and i thought i could have put her up to about 1 bar and flown, but alas it is not to be).

anyways better to find out the truth the easy way as opposed to waisted money and a busted engine.

Back to the drawing board. :whistling:

thanks again everyone
