Petrol filler cap

Idiot here filled up last night and left the filler cap at the petrol station. I would say its gone or run over by now but will check tonight after work. But working on that it's broken or lost, where and how much would I find and get one for? I own a 92 model Corolla any ideas. I feel stupid enough as it is so not be too harsh on me.

Any suggestions on a good wrecker or can I buy one from an autopro??

My parents have owned petrol stations for about 25 years and I always remember a collection of abandonned fuel caps tucked away in a cupboard somewhere.

Depends on the staff on at the time but there's always a chance they picked it up and added to their pile. Give them a call.

Failing that, go to a wrecker.

im sure if you go to a reputable Repco or Autobahn, they will have universal replacesments or even sometimes models for specific cars.

I think even most petrol stations stock universal replacement petrol caps. Or just hunt around petrol stations and tell them you lost it and keep searching until you find one that has the same one as yours....
