MR2 Help

I have been looking for a 1990 - 1999 model MR2( late model mainly ) but with most of the online used car sales i have only seen around the $10- $20grand mark which for my 1st car as im only 14 is quite expensive, i really like mr2 for there shape and mid engine concept but the the late model GT really took my fancy. Since i will be using the car at 16-17 it will have to be naturally aspirated which is a bummer but im not quite sure which model is turboed or not becuase i will be using the car from my l's up hopefully so i need some advice which models are the turboed, how much most of them are, which models are probly the most relliable or if any are very reliable and i would like to know what the late model GT are priced at and if they are worth there money.

as above, its not going to be worth it as a first car!

The GT models are all turbo i believe..

You should be looking for an AE82-AE9* corolla hatchback, great first car, very reliable if looked after! and cheap too!

FOr your first car should not spend too much money on it and you will drive it in 2 or 3 years later ? i suggest you to buy it another 2 years later because the price will go down a bit every year!

yeah i agree with S-Levin..buy the car when u're closer to getting ur licence..no point having it sit there in the garage :)

if u're really interested in getting a MR2..hop on www.mr2.org.au and learn/find out more abt the car before getting it in the near future.Personally..i'd advise against it when u've just passed ur driving..get more experience with road driving etc first before going for the MR platform..they're abit tricky to handle(even if u get a NA) and are very tail happy.

just my 2 cents worth :)
