How accurate are computer games?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys since the forum is so boring...

I bought a Celica with 2ZZ-GE on Gran Turismo 3 and tested it out on th drag strip. Then i purchased a lightweight flywheel and tested the car out again and got a 0.3 sec quicker run. I left traction control on and launched te car at 3000rpms so that both runs were consistent.

How accurate is this? I personally believe it is rather accurate. :D

i can't see the lift change in rev when i play GT3 with both vtec and vvtl-i. But suspension mods i did in that game i based it on real life and yes it work!!

You can hear the sound of the hi-cam kick in especially VTEC cars like the S2000, my favourite :D . The Celica's 2ZZ-GE does seem a little dull when revved past 6000rpm, it seems to only really pick up speed when you rev past 7000rpm but the rev limiter cuts too early at 8000rpm. 1-2 gear shifting will land the Celica at 5000rpm, maybe it is suffering from gear shifting issues too :P .
