When: 29th June, 2008.

Where: Toyota HQ

155 Bertie St, Port Melbourne

Time: 2:00pm

Due to Garage Cafe not opening up on a Sunday, i figured there was really no point meeting there. So a quick change of plans.

As this is the first major meetup for most, i'd like to think that we'll keep it nice and simple and make the meeting point at Toyota HQ.

This will be a good opportunity to put faces on names/cars, get to know each other, talk about our joy and pride and have a great time doing photoshoots!

TOCAU club stickers will be sold by BigBum that day for $10 each - Limited amount so first in first served basis :P

Please come with a clean car @ 2:00pm!

I'm there, and for CB radio lol.

I have no idea which to buy. Oh wellz i'll get one after the first meet.

And yes definitely get some stickers. The .com ones don't look that nice

If you're going to decide between the twin pack (2 CB Radios) or 1 single one for the same price, get the 1 single one IMO.

Go to Tandy or Dicksmith and ask them its all dependent on the Range you wanted and Watts

i checked online, DSE have single stock DSE CB radios for $30. Cant really go wrong, apart from buying batteries!

yeah batteries will be a killer haha. Maybe get some lithium rechargable ones

seeing as i work for the company in question

i should inform you that... be aware of which brand of cb radio your buying.

oricom is a brand you stay away from even though they are readily available. they only operate with other brand cb radios through channel 1-10

brands you can trust are motorolla (iv got one of these 2 watts, purchased it for freaken ridiculous price but it was worth every cent)

uniden is also a good brand.

the higher the watts the further and more obstacles it can go accross, mountain cliffs etc...

ps... ill be showing up to this meet B)
