I've put the coilovers on the backburner for now and will prolly lower the Sportivo in the way of King springs.

In the meanwhile I've invested in a new project and it came with 11 months rego w00t!

It is carby-tek for now but I have some major plans for it but this will be an epic build up hopefully.

Well Jonny and a couple of mates came around last night and we got stuck into installing our TRD CAI.

Took us abit long after a battery terminal saying bye bye and a quick dash to Supercheap later we were on our merry way. I have to admit, even though I didnt do jack schitt, it was a real tight fit and no way would it fit with the TRD pod that was provided.

We had a break and went nuts.... We got 5 family pizzas and started hacking into them and we finished up not too long after.

Hammered it down the streets and DAMN!!?! It sounds mad as phuck!

Anyways onto the pics:

Hey J play with the throttle abit and you might get that hell deep suction/V8 noise... I dont know, I was playing around with it and it seems if you apply full throttle at about 3,000 rpm it makes that deep as sound.

Interesting and informative. thanks silly-kar. What are your plans for the old AE-85?

Cheers Kelpie!

As for the Sprinter, i think its going to be one of those epic projects but in saying that this is what I want in the foreseeable future (6-12 months)

  • Rust free body
  • Stripped interior
  • CAMS approved Half Cage (for those spirited track/drift days)
  • Full respray: Interior and Exterior
  • Drivers side and passenger Bucket seats

Im wanting to go along the lines of 20 Valve and eventually running trumpets but thats me just dreaming for now.

Cheers

Luke

nah i don't really get a ticking sound... i'm not sure if the 1zz has the valve thingy... the 1zz's only had the air flow metre attached to the intake, thats it.. i didn't have to block any valves or leave anything out.. it was a simple swap and go..

my pod is sitting at the end of the intake pipe as well Johnny, and you remember how loud mine gets...

Well the Sportivo is now sitting lower then standard and has been dropped on some King Lows. I dropped it off at 9am then picked it up by noon.

So now all I need to get done is get these C-ONE wingtips fibreglassed on then the misso and I will be pretty happy with the exterior.

We'll then get cracking on some I.C.E in the way of some headrest DVD screens and upgraded speakers. But until then onto the pics. ENJOY
