No problems whatsoever. The car should have a knock sensor, so it'll automatically adjust the timing to suit the higher octane/slower burn. Generally, running higher octane in a modern car is never a problem, the main problem is running LOWER octane than the engine is designed for (ie running 91 or 95 in an STi Impreza or 4AGZE)

Thats all i run in my 03 Ascent... i tend to get more kays out of a tank. I have only owned the car for about 3 months and havent had any problems car if anything runs smoother on 98 ron.

Sure is safe, id say even better for the car. I tend to try and stick to Shell, followed by BP. It's personel preference though, but from what I have read and heard it seems to be the goer.

i use 100 octane 5% ethanol in my car best fuel around from shell runs like a charm on highway i get almost 1000km out of a tank

no problems mate, i too have an 02 corolla ascent, and i run on ether 95 RON or 98RON.. just because it's ment to be a cleaner fuel.

I use Shall V Power for my 08 Corolla, and thinking about using the 5% ethanol or 10% ethanol, does anyone know are the ethanol any good? or should I stick with the V Power?

Check out http://www.toyota.com.au/parts-and-service/maintenance

Toyota state that all Corolla's built from July 1994 can use Petrol/10% Ethanol blend.

I worked in a refinery belonging to a major oil company for many years and have seen what goes into the various octane petrol blends.

The minimum octane petrol that I will use in any of my cars, is 95 octane!!! Nuff said!
