Wow hot pic man!! Going a bit of topic here but I've never taken the bumper of my car before. Apparently you have to take the bumper off the Aurion to put in the HID kit (there's a sticky at the top of the Aurion page for taking off your bumper). Personally I'm a bit worried and nervous taking it off myself, can anyone tell me if it's a hard job or not? Do i only need a set of screwdrivers? I plan to do it soon.

Well a screwdriver and a 10mm socket/spanner will do the trick. You don't HAVE to take the bumper off to put the HID's in, but if you want to mount everything 100% absolutely perfect then yes, you're best taking the bumper off.

Holy sh!t that looks f*cking hot!!! The colour and definition looks so sharp... especially with the angle capturing the shape of the bonnet on the right. Good site to take photos as well. The arc lamps and darker surrounding bring out the clean look of the white.

Steering off track slightly, I think I my obsession with my Aurion has gone a little too far. Nearly every time I park it, I find myself turning back at least twice to get another look at it. I just can't stop staring at it, especially when parked amongst other cars. I've had it for nearly 8 months and I'm still not over it.

haha thanks guys for the positive comments but the photo would have been better if I lowered the noise on it :(

btw that's like me too, everytime I park it I always have to turn back to look at it just can't help it.

you won't regret it momosan8 ;)

I followed a white Presara for a while today.

Except for the slight dent in the rear bumper, it was a very nice looking vehicle.

I have a blue version, and like the black it's very difficult to keep looking clean.

I have had it for 4-5 months now and have given it two full washes only for fear of adding swirls!

White shouldn't have that problem.

Btw, the Aurion Touring edition is really good value, the difference between that and the SX6 is approximately $8K... and you could possibly argue that you are getting less in the SX6....

did anyone notice the difference in of shades (of the paint) on the body to the bumpers? i noticed this under fluro lights in the showroom. it like thay from factory coz its noticable on all aurions (that i saw that day).

Silver Ash - In my opinion, the Tungsten colour works better than the Silver Ash in this case.

Hear here, I was tossing up between the Diamond White, Silver Ash (always had silver cars) and Tungsten but went with the Tungsten in the end because I had not seen many (in that colour) around until of course you end up getting one plus the fact that I liked it as soon as soon as i started playing around with the 'Build and Price' part of the Toyota website. Very hard decision which can be made easier, if you are an extrovert then the Reef and Inferno colours may suit, it's all about what you like. I seem to remember the hotter colours when i see the cars around (same with personalised plates) and remember they are the idiot who cut me off etc...

      Hi there sorry for the late response, The reverse guidelines are on the factory camera itself (the guidelines are turned off on the Pioneer unit as it doubled up over the factory camera lines) and if I remember correctly they still retain the angle prediction. Everything else (excluding DAB) works***. But instead of using DAB I've downloaded RadioApp which has all of the DAB stations on it and is accessible by Android Auto (not sure on Apple CarPlay though) so no biggie. I also used an adapter to retain the original GPS antenna, works flawlessly. *** EDIT *** The info on the instrument cluster may or may not show, depending on what interface you end up using. In my case I've lost the audio and navigation info on the centre screen and fuel economy/vehicle customisation screens from the factory head unit but I'm not fussed by it as there are other ways to access them on a Kluger. I think it's all retained if you use iDatalink Maestro and a compatible head unit (it will be marked as such) but besides that and DAB all other functions are still operable.

      That's a dual-cab tub, much shorter than the single-cab. It's also an 8th-gen Hilux tub, the OP has a 7th-gen @rckly Redbook seems to show the single-cab tub was available in the 2WD low-rider spec, for the high-rider/4WD it came as king-cab or dual cab only (cab-chassis available for all shapes and sizes)

      Toyota Landcruiser problems

      Hi This is not so much to the forum but to Toyota who i cannot contact!! Purchased new 300 Landcruiser ($120k) & generally happy with the drive but frustrated with fixing problems. bonnet need restuffing took me 5 Toyota dealerships & a lot time i cannot afford for a 3 day job afer it had been booked into Heidelberg & on collection did not perform the stuffing to stock it shaking & reflecting strong sun light into drivers eyes when vehicle was clean. when i collected vehicle from overnight service (2 days) after 2nd visit with some booking confusion they told me they need vehicle for 3 days just prior to me driving from Melbourne to Flinders rangers SA again very costly in time to me because a bolt had fallen out of turbo charger (20k klm). i have had a list if issues none of the 5 Toyota dealerships visited can resolve: no guests can close the rear hatch because you need to slam it & most do not have the strength even if they new what to do - seal has been replaced. i have never been able to understand logic of why no rear hatch release was included in vehicle, 1st vehicle i have owned without boot release? no location for key apart from centre console where key is lost amongst so many items unable to reverse any trailer, boat or horse float as vehicle brakes & locks up which is dangerous to horses being thrown & reversing into drive with traffic on a busy road - every possible idea has been suggested again very expensive on my time but no one can resolve! Unable to get google maps or music without plugging cord into phone - very aged technology but safari same vehicle does not need cord!! do not understand this logic other than justifying another $20k Radio or music must be reloaded after each phone call or restarting vehicle - some 6-8 buttons to reload music - very frustrating. AM 3AW is muffled & very poor quality (not my hearing). Alarm of beeping drivers door cannot be turned off - i do not need vehicle to alarm warning me of drivers door open as i am the one who purposely have left door open - very frustrating & no need for alarm beeping, cannot turn this off!! Ordered dark interior but got light interior ?? which i accepted on the condition the carpet was not light beige, guess what it was. Why would a country farm 4 wheel drive have white carpet? Toyota what are you thinking? i have a black cattle working dog so my rear interior is trashed & the fabric entraps dog hair unlike a good quality wool carpet, poor quality synthetic which is not serviceable like previous BMW quality. i would love Toyota direct (not dealerships / agents who are not trained) to help me resolve direct. Direct contact with Toyota not possible, customer service from dealerships disappointing based on cost of vehicle, i believe i am a very reasonable person.
