engine cover

Recommended Posts

yeah you did a good job mate i want mine done too now how did you do it?

In the first step I sprayed the engine first with gold paint and then sprinkled silica sand. The paint was allowed to dry and I repeated the first step to make sure the silica sand was evenly spread.

Second step, I sprayed another 2 layers just to make sure the silica sand will not fall out.

Finally, I cut out a stencil of the VVTL i and sprayed red paint over it. (but i think it would have been easier if Red paint was sprayed on the vvtli first and then tape is used to cover them up, and then proceed to spray the engine cover. Stencil was not easy to cut, you see)

I used silica sand because I used to own a Honda and I really liked out the red engine top had the sand texture look.
