Headlight yellowing

Hi all,

i am new here as I had just discover this forum.

Anyhow got a querry for those rav4 owners-

my headlight is turning yellowish after been in the sun over the years..

had notice other rav experiencing the same thing..

what r my options?any suggestion ?

There is a really good chance that this has occured because you are using bulbs that are not 'UV-Cut'. Usually cheaper bulbs are the culprit, anything under $25 a set...

Unfortunalty some headlamp glass is more susceptable/proned to it occuring than others, and Echo & Rav are up there...

I had the same problem with my corolla before. Just use some strong car polish liquid and rub....keep rubbing for a long time ;)

I bought a set of four blue globes off ebay light output is 100W and fantastic at night clear crisp light. QED. ABout $50.00

I had the same problem with my corolla before. Just use some strong car polish liquid and rub....keep rubbing for a long time ;)

+1 to that. I rubbed in some meguiars scratch x and it gradually disappeared after a few applications. I've had a read about it online and the yellowish cloud is supposedly due to oxidation...
