Anyone has Alpine IVA-W502E + PMD-B100E Navigation?

Anyone has the Alpine IVA-W502E + PMD-B100E Navigation? Need some feedback on hows the PMD-B100E Navigation? Is it a good navigation unit. Deciding between getting the Eclipse AVN6000 or the Alpine IVA-W502E + PMD-B100E Navigation as the Alpine headunit has USB and can play DIVx movies but not sure whether the navigation unit is comparable to Eclipse unit.

I personally would go with the Alpine IVA-W502EV. Dont know about the Nav on it though.

But atm I have an Alpine IVA-D105EV. I'm quite happy with it, just that now i want double din HU instead of single.

When it comes to HU i prefer my Alpines above all other brands. Though more expensive but i like my Alpines :P

Yup i would prefer the Alpine unit also, but went down to get a quotation on this unit, if adding Bluetooth, Steering Wheel, Reverse Camera including the navigation unit, it would cost more than $600 more than the Eclipse AVN6000 unit (which also includes, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera, Ipod Adaptor also). Only addition thing from the Alpine unit is playing divx and USB, so i don't think i will be getting the alpine since the Eclipse unit has pretty good review as well.

i think he is trying to compare their ability in navigation, not sound quality.. (i think it's similar, unless u r kind of geeky into audio to compare them)

alpine PMD has the benefit of moving/swapping around while eclipse dont? but if u are driving a lot in city areas (with tall building) or tunnels.. then eclipse is better.. (IF it is connected to the speedo and stuff, which can still calculate where u r going, even without signal) i cant seem to be able to find info on this..

Does anyone here adds Imprint to their IVA-W502E HU? if so, hows the effect?? The Alpine IVA-W502E HU doesn't offer any preset EQ Setting and i am loss in doing all the individual setting. So does Imprint helps tunes the EQ setting and makes it a easier for user, geez.. didn't expect to be doing the manual EQ setting.. hahaha..

      I was told jy Toyota hilux grinner 1990 2xd was rare 10 years ago. I just read in good condition they fetch around 50,000. My car is in good condition and has service history and receipts. Can anyone tell if this is true.

      2001 Toyota Camry wagon passenger side locks not working

      Had a similar issue with my 2003 Camry sedan. I'm think the mechanism might be bit stiff, so removing the door card and spraying the locking cable (the one that pushes the lock knob into the lock and unlock position on the interior door handle) with some Innox might work to loosen up the old grease and get it working again.

      2007 - floor mats

      Hi Ed, Hmm that's a tough one mate ..short of going to Toyota to get genuine and no I doubt they would laugh at you as it's a sale and money is tight right now. I am not sure if you are on Facebook or not but I have seen an advert on there for what looks like superb floor mat sets that do seem excellent quality and a wide range but like most things now they are not cheapish. My best advice is source some good quality ones and search online for someone who offers embroidery as some do tradie shirts and logos on clothing it may be worth a phone call to those sort of places as I know a local one to me does all sorts of work on many things related to embroidery or an alternative choice is the online sites like Temu...       2001 Toyota Camry wagon passenger side locks not working

      Gday, I've got a 2001 Camry wagon which has been having locking issues for a while now, just started occurring out of the blue. There is no fob so we manually unlock and lock from the driver side door, however the rear and front passenger doors consistently have issues. Either when we unlock one or both doors don't unlock and must be unlocked from inside the car, or when we lock it one or both don't lock and the car beeps. To fix that, we open the door, lock it from the inside, the lift up the handle and close the door before releasing the handle. That fixes the locking issue. When testing the locks from inside the car, I can see that they partially lock and unlock, so I'm wondering if they need to be replaced entirely or if there's some other way to fix it. Cheers

      2002 Hilux Engine Replacement

      I have a 2002 Hilux that is meant to have a 5le engine but i think it was replaced with a new engine with a turbo before i bought it. Its a different engine compared to what is in the manual - eg the alternator is at the bottom not the top as per the manual. The engine is seized - tried roll starting downhill and wheels just locked up. I cant find what the engine is. Any ideas on where I would find it? Also 5LE engines are hard to find - any ideas on what else i could put in? Does a 1KZ fit?
