well you know how Bmw has the M3 and then they have the hardcore version the M3 CSL... lexus is apparently making a Hardcore version of their IS-F. it will be called the IS-R.

things it might have:

CF bonnet

CF boot

CF roof

Recaro Front Seats

No Rear Seats and have an option to have a Half cabin Roll cage

Engine maybe a remapped ECU and new exhaust...maybe raise the performance from 311kw to 330kw

stiffened suspension

whats your opinion on the IS-R?

so basically, this would bring the ISF up to the standard of the basic M3 or C63 AMG in terms of driving experiance?

sorry, i was just bitterly disappointed when i drove the ISF... its trying to compete with the m3 and amg, and IMO, it doesnt even come close..

the is-f is a saloon, so its actually competing with the likes of the m5, rs4 and amg's e and cls classes. kinda like saying the trd is competing with wrx's and evo lancers, they're different classes of cars.

Last time I checked, the C63 is a sedan/saloon, and the M3 is available in 4-door version too......

The IS-F is aimed _directly_ at the M3, C63 and RS4, it's way too small to go up against the M5/E63/CLS63, that would be the job of a GS-F if ever it was created.

New M3's are one hell of a car, as much as I love my Toyota's it would have to be pretty amazing to get close.

ROFL yeah IMO will be surprised if the IS-R will be any closer to the M3 CSL... to Toyota and Lexus GOOD LUCK :P first get rid of that stupid 7 speed gear box....
