Help 89 Tarago

ford fan

Hello everyone

Ok here's the problem , my housemate has a duel fuel (gas/petrol) Tarago van which is runnig like crap (on both gas & petrol) at the moment . The car seems to loose power after 2000-2500 RPM and then mis-fire pretty badly :( . I have done a Diagnostics check after changing AFM but all seemed ok

I first suspected it was a dodgey AFM which i replaced with a propper working AFM and it now runs on petrol but not verry well (about the same as it does on gas) . So its got me thinking that it's either a bad vac leak OR something wrong with the ignition system (plug leads, plugs, coil, igniter ect ect) , just wondering what everyone elses thoughts are in this ? Any advice would be MUCH appreciated guy's

Random details about car . . .

Has a 4Y engine

seems to idle ok on both gas & petrol

has EFI (duh!!)

5 spd manual

thats about all i can think of for now
