As title suggest...

I'm looking for the widest possible rim width, on a 08 Corolla ZRE SEDAN

Legally or illegally? Hehehe

Legally first:

If you got Ascent, stocks are 6" wide so max width would be 7". If you got Conquest-LevinZR, stocks are 6.5" wide so max would be 7.5".

Remember, you have to consider the offset as well!

Now the cool stuff!

I have seen 8.5" rears on a ZR on the rears and know another member that also has 8.5" on all fours. I would say 8.5" for the sedan. I wouldn't go more than that. With that size, you'd really have to be careful about the offset. Wrong offset and game over!

also be mindful as to what this is going to do to ur driveability of the car .... i mean its not like the car has a lot of torque / power to begin with and going mega wide rims and tyres u might find that it will become a little sluggish .....
