2002 Avalon Leaking Sunroof

Hi All.

I'm driving 2002 Avalon Limited .

Got a problem with the sunroof (moonroof?) on 2002 Avalon.

It's leaking.

any suggestions greatly appreciated

You will need to get it resealed.

Best thing to do is take it to a Sunroof dealer or even places like Windscreen Obrien and they should be able to put a sealant in for you.

Theres a few places in Sydney that i know of but it all depends where you are.....

The drain tubes are probably blocked or have fallen off. You'll have to pull the roof lining down to get at them.

camry and aurion suffer from the same issue , where the drain tubes fall off the sunroof unit. There are 4 drains , 1 on each corner and the fix is to refit and put clamps on them this time(yes you have to drop the roof lining to access these drain tubes) i can't be definite on the avalon as i never have had one apart but i would be certain there wouldn't be too much of a difference

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I found 2 drain holes on the front side of the sunroof.

I got a 3 metre legnth of fairly stiff coax cable and

managed to shove it down for about 1.5+ metres.

I then poured some water downw each hole and had someone look under the front wheels.

The water certainly drained out.

But the roof is still leaking - but not as bad.

If there are holes on the back of the sunroof - I can't locate them.

Might have to take to Toyota.
