stock HU + amp/sub

done some searching on the forum, and cant really find what i'm looking for.

i want to connect an amp and sub to my stock HU. i cant find a guide or anything to do this.

i've got a stock Aurion AT-X '07.

you'll need a Line out converter. Jaycar has one for 17 bucks, you'll need to crimp/solder the wires on the line out converter to the correct cables on the plug of the Head unit. After that you just install the amp and sub like usual.

do you have to connect it to the hu? i did mine by connecting it to the rear speakers. its too easy cos all the wiring is exposed in the boot lol

its not connected to the head unit directly, its connected to the plug which connects the headunit. i drive a Corolla hatch so ive got no exposed wires. you way works fine also, in the end you just need to connect all the right cables to the rear speakers and it should work fine.
