Be cheaper to sell your current rolla and buy a Sportivo, 40hp more + 6sp manual.

this.

dont waste 10 grand on a car that will get smashed by a bog stock VN with a welded diff... even when its finished.

40kw even, not just 40HP....

1zz = 140hp and 2zz = 180hp... dunno where you got 40kw more from!

As for selling up to a supra, bear in mind its a -much- different car. Your going from a FWD revvy 4 banger to a big heavy RWD turbo 6. Mind you, so did I.

Thanks man I have a auto but and the box may not hold up with the turbo I got told $10.000 to get it charged Is that a good price ? Or could I get the turbo done 4 that price I live in Perth

The auto box will be fine with low boost.

1zz = 140hp and 2zz = 180hp... dunno where you got 40kw more from!

In the Corolla here it was;

1zz=100kW

2zz=141kW

^that

Only the US got the crappy 180HP spec in their Celica/Matrix/Vibe.

10K's about right to turbocharge the stock long engine. Turbo, manifold, fuel system, cooler, pipework, turbo plumbing, ecu etc.

TRD Charger is the easiest option but makes a lot less power than turbo.

When we put a TRD charger on pippy's car it used a powerfc for management and 2zz injectors with a walbro in-tank fuel pump. The 2zz injectors were max'd out.

After the TRD charger was removed and custom turbo kit installed, the car made an additional 23kw at the wheels with 3psi less boost.

And how much power will a blitz supercharger put out ...if u no I would like to turbo it but I have a auto and with the supercharger it won't put to much strain on the box

Blitz charger will put out a bit more power than a tuned NA engine, but with a fair bit more torque through the midrange. There's plenty of turbo ZZE auto's in the USA. have a browse of the forced induction section at www.9thgencorolla.com

I think I will stay with the charger as my wife uses it to take the kids to school and I don't want touch power just a bit more then what it has 4 now

You say that now, but you seriously need to think more long term. If you give yourself just 'a bit more power' you will find yourself later down the track wanting more than what you got. Then you realise that if you want more power, it will set you back more than what it would have cost to do it right in the first place.

haha yer but the car is just a run about and just want more power to tow my jetski and go-kart to

where i need to go as well as a school bus

you have a 1ZZ auto corolla, if you want something to tow things, go spend 1K or so on a falcodore...

kk.

Didnt know our 1ZZ's where less powerful then others. I knew the 2ZZ was 141kw but I never did the conversion to HP, just assumed it was 180hp like the yanks.

Our 1ZZs aren't less powerful, it's our 2ZZ that is more powerful than the Yanks. 140HP is 104kw, which is roughly what our 1ZZs put out (more like 100kw, and ignore the drop to 93kw after they changed to DBW for emissions), and the 2ZZ in our Celicas and Sportivos put out 189HP (141kw).

TRD charger will net anywhere from 105-120kw atw depending on supporting mods and how agressive the tune is. It will make a lot more midrange torque than a sportivo.

Blitz charger will make similar power with similar mods.
