Hey peeps, just wondering if there is someone out in SA in the ingle farm area who would be willing to come to mine or i come to yours. I want to trial fit some 18's I have got to a 2009+ corolla. if they fit i will keep them, if not I will get rid of them.

Sizes as follows

PCD 114.3

18x8.5 +31

18x9.5 +45

I have done some searching and they should fit but not sure how much they will scrub guards or stick out too far so I'd like to have someone trial fit them so I can know whether or not to keep them.

Dean.

I'm in Ingle farm but would be willing to travel as far as Willunga/McLaren Vale area.

Heya Dean, im not far from you but dont have any equipment to do the job. Im sure a tire place will drop them on for you, for a small fee. Try Cluse brothers @ Parafield

The question you pose is also dependent on how low you are planning to lower (if at all?)

Im running 18X8 et 38.

So if you look at an offset calc:

Mine as the control VS:

18X8.5 et 31

Inner Clearance: 1mm MORE(the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)

Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 13mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)

18X 9.5 et45

Inner Clearance: 26mm LESS(the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)

Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 12mm(position of the outside edge of the wheel)

I would think the front would have slight poke, around 5mm

The rear flush (providing it doesnt hit the strut)

may need guard work, or will need guard work if lower. Also depends on tire choice, ie stretched or gumby style.

If all four were 18 x 8.5 +31 it would be perfect, I'd like to see that

+1 to that.

18x9.5 +45 would be definitely on the rears. However, not sure about inner clearance? Our rear guards are huge! Pete, with your wheels, do you have that amount of inner clearance on the rears?

I hear the sound of distant drumming!

Or is the sound coming from a panel shop flaring Rolla guards

Hey dutchie, I just re-read my post and not sure if i gave ppl the wrong impression. All i wanna do is chuck my 18's (rims and tyres) onto a corolla so all I'd need is an hour of someone's time and take some pics :)

Basically just wanna bolt them on and see how the car sits, and how tough/girly it looks :P

Cheers, Dean.
