Driving Games worth buying?

Just got a PS3, What is the best car driving games for the PS3? Anyone have any recommendations what to buy? Is Gran Turismo 5 worth getting? Also can i play online? Complete noob to gaming

Don't own a PS3 so no idea on GT5 but i know on PC the 2 games i buy for racing is GRID and Dirt 3. GRID 2 is coming out soon as well.

dirt 3 is bloody awesome! so +1 to that.

also back in the days, NFS most wanted was good too... i sometimes play it but the BS part where u slam into coppers and still drive is just unrealistic... but who cares, its a game

GT5 is definitely good, also look at games like the newer NFS...Shift or Shift 2, or if youre into cops and robbers, Hot Pursuit. and yea Dirt 3 :P

Gt5 most definantly, shift 2 looks good but what i learnt from the last one was the handling was terrible nfs prostreet is ok, undercover is meh and the new hot pursuit isnt that bad apparently and u cant mod anything and apparently u can only drive automatic transmission 0_0

GT5 definitely as others have said. GRID is good with you want something in between of simulator (GT5) or arcade (NFS) style of play. :)
