Hey all just wondering if this is something to worry about or not. After taking my car into the dealer to get its 75000km all was well except i was told that i had a slight oil weep from my timing cover. As far as im aware there isnt any gasket or seals there. Is this something to worry about?

When i asked them to show me they said the engine had been pressure cleaned and i would not see where it was coming from.

Any help would be most appreciated

cheers

According to this there is a gasket. Eventually as the gasket begins to perish you will lose more fluid at a quicker rate (as the 'spring' in the gasket is no longer sealing the plate to the mount) and you'll have a timing chain with inappropriate fluid levels.

I'd enquire to see how much it would cost to replace.

Could it be crank or cam seal leaking? It is just possibility. I've seen oil weep around timing case on few 2GR-FE engines. (Kluger + Aurion)
