I'm in the process of changing the factory head unit with a jvc touch screen but I'm having trouble getting my hands on the wiring diagram for the factory unit.

hey champ

easiest way is to buy the toyota to iso harness that way all the colours match up nicely with the jvc stuff. the follwoing would work.

iso wire colours are the same as JVC uses so you can cut the iso harness and just join the wires from the jvc plug onto the new harness. - that way you are not cutting any wires.

FYI toyota radio harness wires have all been the same for about 15 years now. small and big plug - wire colours =

T-Money is spot on in regards to what you want, keep everything as if it left the factory like it

.For the sake of a couple of dollars or better still, try and get a harness thrown in with the purchase of the JVC unit, that way it will be a simple PLUG-N-PLAY
