pull the 24mm filler plug out on the front side of the box, put your finger in the hole and if you can feel the oil it's fine.

Top it up through that hole, you fill the box through the same hole until oil starts to come out.

The corolla sportivo is a manual transmission, therefore no dipstick!

U can check the oil by, undoing the filler plug at the front of the gearbox and put ur finger inside to check the level and oil quality.

I've seen a lot of cars like this but mainly saw them in the front right hand seat.

the 24mm oil drain plug is on the underside of the driveshaft on the diff housing of the box on the passenger side.

the 24mm filler plug

use a 1/2" drive socket, anything else and you are likely to screw it up.

ah, they changed the bung to the allen type key, or does the bung have a square hole in it? hard to see in the pic. If it's a square hole then it's like the drain bungs on newer Subaru diffs etc and you just use a 1/2" drive breaker bar or ratchet to undo it. If it's an allen key shaped hole, purchase a 1/2" drive allen bit to fit.
