Hi all,

I've noticed since I've owned my "05 stivo that it has had some problem I believe with the idle,

Everytime I shift it feels like the idle completely drops for a split second and then jumps up again, a mate with a rolla at work reckons he has the same problem? Is this normal or is there something wrong with the sensor or something?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Cleaning the ISCV (same thing as IACV) does make all the difference in the world. I had the same sort of problem and it was resolved with cleaning of this valve.

Mine ended up being faulty and had to replace it but the clean did make it better for a period of time.

would this be the same problem?

when my foots on the acceleration and I decide to change gear (granny shifting) after im in gear I press on the acceleration and it seems to lag abit around 2.5/3 rpm.but after 3000 rpm it pushes normally and the car doesn't feel like its chocking.

Sounds a bit similar, although it only for a split second, makes you wonder is its normal or not?

Where is the iacv located?

On the throttle body. Careful when taking the screws off, u strip them, not our fault.
