Hi all,

I started hearing a squeak every time I press or lift up the clutch, has anyone had this problem before or have a permanent fix?

Read it might be the master cylinder being dry but would like to know if there's any other solutions before I spam it with WD-40.

I drive a 2005 Corolla Sportivo

Thanks in advance,

Danny

+99999999999 WD40

WD40 fixes everything. it even acts as a nice replacement for cooking oil.

you spray all around the spring on the top of the pedal

clutch master should be ok

WD40 did the trick for about 3-4 days.. however the problem has come back. any other suggestions?

would it be worth taking to a mechanic to check out?

If WD40 made it go away for a few days then lubrication is the answer - use a proper lube this time instead of WD40 though (WD40 is a poor long-term lubricant because most of it evaporates quickly and the rest is quite thin, which is why it is a good penetrating oil)
